Zooming the Moon at Night, Testing out my camera
So I looked out my window the other night and noticed a pair of red blinking lights moving erratically side to side coming towards my house, I thought this is it, a UFO sighting. So I rushed and grabbed my camera, hoofed it outside and noticed the sound, it was just a plane, but it was still moving strangely. I don’t know what was causing the the plane to appear to be moving oddly, but it sure didn’t look like a plane, maybe it was the clouds interfering some how.
Then I noticed the moon, so I thought I’m outside already, may as well film the moon. I took two videos that night, the one below and a second one I still have to upload. In the second one I captured a plane, and it sure does look like a lot of UFO videos shot at night seen on Youtube.
Not the best quality, to bright, but I forgot to adjust the white balance, so next time I film the moon hopefully it’ll be full of moonly detail.

cool video Wizzard , thanks for sharing that with us. i have seen many videos of the Moon where ufo's where accidentally caught in the field of view. i may post a couple if your interested. maybe you know of some yourself ? better yet, keep that camera out for the next sighting you have !
i also wanted to show you this picture of the Moon taken with a 10 reflector telescope. a friend shared it with me.

ok....this one is a daytime shot of the Moon and something flew into the field of view. the person that captured this has had the video analyized by a few different people and the conclusion so far is the object (whatever it was) caused a conical bow shockwave.
something to note: this cannot be something close to the camera because when a telescope this size is zoomed any objects close up would not even show up.

i am still looking for the video i originally had in mind. it seems to be illusive right now...lol
here's a couple interesting vids. they could be fake, i don't really know
