An amazing UFO close encounter event happened in December 2008 in Empire & Midvale, Ohio and there where multiple witnesses and pictures taken of what appears to be a Triangle shaped craft.

(Linda M. Howe was the first to report the story)

Truck driver Tim Comstock was driving his tractor trailer when he spotted a triangular craft with glowing lights. when he first appraoched the scene he noticed some cars pulled over to the side of the road and also people that were looking up at something and he noticed the UFO. he managed to get three pictures of the craft.

The encounter started as Comstock was driving and saw other cars pulled over on the side of the road.

Howe quoted Comstock as saying, "As I was driving along the route, I noticed there were a couple of cars alongside the road with their lights still on. People were standing outside their car and that peaked my curiosity about what was going on. I looked in the direction that they were looking, which was toward the top of a rather large hill."

Comstock told Howe, "I looked up and there was a very bright object just above the tree level. I can't really say for sure what it was because I've never seen anything like it."

"It seemed self-luminescent. It was about the size of a large pickup truck and it was very bright whenever I looked at it. That's really what caught my attention."

"Five or six cars" were pulled over, Comstock stated. "The people standing there looked like they were stuck, just transfixed watching the objects. They weren't moving. They were just standing almost completely still."

"They were pretty awestruck. And it was extremely close to the small town of Empire, Ohio. I don't know if people there saw it. Maybe it was too late at night."

'SOMETHING ORGANIC'

"It didn't look like anything mechanical by any means. To me, it looked like a cocoon," Comstock told Howe.

"When I saw it, I was trying to take everything in and that's immediately what I thought when I saw it – that it was organic. That's the feeling that I got. I didn't think it could be anything else. It just came across as something organic."

Comstock said that as the object rose, he was able to see the larger object from the light given off by the smaller ascending object. The larger object with the bluish lights seemed to be basically stationary, Comstock said.

"As long as I had it [brightly-lit smaller object] in my field of vision, it seemed like it might have risen from above the tree line, I would say a couple thousand feet."

"It was a white light with a little bit of orange inside of it. It had a little bit of red and the shape just seemed so strange to me because it seemed like a biological shape. As I watched that shape, it was rising upward," Comstock stated.

"As I looked above that, I saw a pattern of three bluish-colored lights. They weren't flickering like a star. They were in some kind of sequence, but they were all in tune with each other. They were very large lights. They were definitely not stars."

"I'm judging this because I was in the military and worked on helicopters, so I can tell this was pretty low because a couple of thousand feet seems like a lot, but it's really not," he said.

"It seemed like it rose a few thousand feet and then the craft – by the time I lost sight of it – it seems like it might have been maybe 500 feet from whatever the object was above it. So it was definitely getting closer to the triangular craft that was drawing it in," Comstock told Howe.

"As the large white-orange object was rising up, it looked like it was going into the center of the triangle of blue lights. At first glance when I saw the triangle of lights and rising, glowing object, I could not process what was going on."

"As the white-orange object got closer to the triangle of lights, I could see from reflected light that the underside of the inside of the triangle pattern of blue lights was one object – one very, very large object. When I saw it with my naked eye, I saw the bottom of the craft and it looked like it was very flat."

Comstock described the color of the larger craft above to Howe as being dark gray or black. He said he thought it had a crystalline type of surface that reminded him of a "cracked open piece of coal."
"It was big. About the size of a large shopping mall and parking lot."

another witness ("Sarah") see's the same UFO craft not far from where Tim the truck driver took the pictures and also had previously seen it on another occasion

Another eyewitness is a security guard I’ll call Sarah, who works in the Stratton and Empire, Ohio, region. The largest company there is the W. H. Sammis coal power plant. About 40 miles northeast are three other power plants owned and operated by FirstEnergy Corp. Two are nuclear stations at Beaver Valley Power Station and FENOC (FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co.), both in Shippingport on the Pennsylvania side of the Ohio River. The third First Energy company in Shippingport is the Bruce Mansfield Plant, First Energy's largest coal-fired power plant.

Sarah is 48-years-old, was born and raised in the Steubenville, Ohio, region north of Empire and has worked as a security guard the past eleven years. She was very surprised to learn about Tim Comstock’s October 23rd photographs because three months earlier in the first week of August 2008, Sarah was on security duty around midnight when she saw a triangle pattern of lights, “just like the one in Tim Comstock’s photos.” And she watched again on October 23rd at 3:45 AM Eastern. While Tim Comstock had slowed his big truck down to about two miles an hour on new Route 7 south of Empire to watch the amazing lights and snap images on his cell phone, Sarah was about three-tenths of a mile further north on old Route 7 watching the exact same phenomenon from a different angle. Sarah describes the large triangular craft she has seen, beginning with her first August sighting.

Sarah, Security Guard, Empire and Stratton, Ohio: “The first time I saw the triangular shape of lights was in the beginning of August 2008. I was at work. I was sitting at our north gate. My dad always taught me you can learn many things looking at the sky, so I’m a sky watcher. I was looking at the different stars and in this one section of sky above the plant, the stars just suddenly seemed to disappear. As I was watching, there were these three, bright, yellowish-white lights that appeared. They were in a triangular pattern. You couldn’t see any 3-dimensional form to it. There were just the three lights. Those three lights hovered for a while. They would get bright and then they would go a little duller like they would have a little bit of orange mixed into them.

They hovered for a while and then it moved straight up in the sky and it moved towards the east. Then it stopped and started to go north and then zigzagged from west to east and then it took off straight up. It was almost faster than your eyes could follow it.

Another Triangle and
Glowing Pod in Midvale, Ohio
2:33 AM Eastern, November 2, 2008

One young resident there is 22-years-old, recently married and goes by the nickname, “Joy.”

Joy has insomnia and is often up after midnight, as she was in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Joy, Midvale, Ohio: “The last time I looked at the clock, it was 2:33 AM, on November 2, 2008, early in the morning. I’m usually up then watching TV and I decided to have a cigarette. I always go over to the desk to smoke beside the window. Something caught my eye out the window and I looked out to see a very large, orange-yellow-white-colored ‘orb,’ lacking a better word. The orb didn’t seem to keep one shape. I saw it at the edge of the tree line behind my house. It looked like if you were looking under a microscope – the little blobs that you see, how they sort of just wiggle around?

It moved horizontally and it was changing shape, but it wasn’t like going up or down. It was just following a straight line through the tree line. Then, it dipped down behind the trees and when it did that, I could see the silhouette of the trees in front of it, but I could not see the trees behind it, as if it were solid.

After that, it hung in the air in the same spot for probably less than 30 seconds; moved backwards and upwards a little bit; and then a lot more rapidly then it had been moving, it moved forward but further away from me and up way higher than the tree line. It seemed from the distance I could tell in the dark – it moved about a few football field lengths from where the back of my house is where it had been moving steadily parallel to my house, the object moved away and up. So, I can’t tell exactly how far the lights were in the triangular pattern, but I didn’t even notice those lights until the glowing, changing shape reached them and I then realized there were dim lights in the triangular pattern.

After the glowing thing reached the triangle, from the angle it was at I could not see any reflections, but right way I called a friend who lives on the next road over and asked her if anything was going on there. She said there was something behind her house approximately over the wooded area that’s right behind the first road in town.

Yes. It (glowing pod) reached the triangle and hung there for a few moments and then all the lights went out as if someone just flipped a switch and turned them off.
