I think it's pretty shocking really that the care you get differs so much depending on what you can pay. Health care shouldn't be a business, it should be a right.

I can only speak of the differences between insurance plans. I once had a fairly mediocre plan. Treatment was rubbish. Changed employer-all of a sudden I was being seen within hours or days for a specialist. Massive difference.

It seems frequently that scientists will make recommendations, or state that something isn't safe. Government still goes ahead and supports it. Do you think that it is right for money to have such influence (like with Monsanto) or should we be doing things differently?

Yes, the threat must be taken seriously, but can we really do anything? It's not like we can control solar activity, or protect against it. I wonder if this is in any way linked to the severe weather conditions, that have led to poor food crops.

There could be a number of Islamic Jews when you are considering Jews by heritage. But obviously there should be no Islamic Jews when it comes to the Jewish faith. I wonder what the attraction of the Islamic faith is.

I would guess that this is more a conspiracy theory that the US government was involved-the claims have been frequently made. I think though in this case, with the temperatures involved (because of the burning jet fuel) that anything is possible.

The world is in trouble, and has been for a while. Still, despite the rising costs of food and the diplomatic problems, I don't understand how a government can justify killing its own people. The world is watching, and still they do it.

I would very much support world governments efforts to make a better anti-asteroid plan. There has to be a way to effectively protect the planet from this kind of threat.

I don't believe that Armageddon is coming, however, I do believe he is right. IF, it were to come, the last bit of time would be insane. No one would work when they knew the end was near.

It seems to me that the problem is not the overpopulation of the planet, but that we are failing to distribute resources well enough. How do you think we could overcome our problems?

This is disturbing. Worse is the fact (for me) that I hadn't heard of this yet, I must be losing my grip on current affairs. So, is there anything that we can do? Self sufficiency is becoming incredibly attractive right now, and I'm eyeing up my veggie seeds on the shelf....

There are far greater changes needed in Egypt. The people will see through any half measures and you know that the trouble will continue until real change is achieved. As terrible as all this is, it's an exciting time for them too.

The Maya were incredibly smart and advanced. But they simply did not see any point in going any further, they didn't make a calendar till infinity because they were already hundreds of years ahead. So, 2012 will just be another year.
