Just think how fantastic it is that we are getting this picture...NO MATTER WHAT IT IS..... That Curiosity is thumping around on the surface of Mars taking personal up front shots! Establishing the fact that it is sitting in what was once a " riverbed"......
When I was a student in the fifties I got in a roaring fight with a classmate who said that man would NEVER be out in space...... Hot air balloons were as far as we would ever go ( and even those he was suspect of....).... that other life forms NEVER could exist except here on earth and that WE held dominion over everything! Oh! .....Hey Roy Cole ( I even remember your name!) You were only nine.... but what do you think now? We were in classes in Leesburg Elementary school and I was the girl who wanted to talk about space travel. Remember me? Ha! Perhaps you were one of the fellows that developed Curiosity... One of the lead engineers was a pot head musician in the sixties! And yet when he got fired up about Mars and what it represented nothing has taken him off his path. What role have you played Roy?

I hadn't looked at the video until doing so to grab this image. To me, it looks like a ball-peen hammer. I had been staying out of this conversation for the sole reason of not wanting to put my disbeliefs into the mix, but I don't think the image is even of Mars. I think now that I've said it, I'll go back to being outside of the conversation.
