I thought they were doing something like this for along time now considering the national Education Assoc and the Dept of Education I wouldn't doubt they are doing this in more than just one school Just surpised that Texas was going along with it. Sad your tax dollars going for this.

6th Graders Asked to Design ?Communist? Flag | Alternative

by Paul Joseph Watson

6th graders are being asked to design new flags for communist countries in school districts across Texas as part of a curriculum critics have decried as “mind control” intended to make children sympathize with socialist ideals.

So which is it? Socialism or communism? Is there something wrong with either of them in any case? Why do you believe so firmly in the system you live under? Is your life that great there and you have all the possible goodness that life has to offer? Or are you just happy believing what you're told about life under other systems?

Isn't school supposed to teach a whole realm of different ideas or is it meant to adhere to the party line?

No nothing great about the life I'm leading but at least so far yet I don't have a shill for the TPTB breathing down my neck telling me what I need to eat, and what I can and can't do.I believe its for control. If I thought the other two would really be any better, I'd be more open to it. So, far all we've seen is more attempts to control our lives and be the nanny TPTB.

Yes different ideas for the school but not preferencing one idea (Dogma if you want to call it that) over the other. The kids should make their own informed decisions based on the premises of each ideaology. Then its not a wrong thing.

When they don't really want to help the poor, all they want is more money in their pockets (taxes) taxes in the premise of helping the poor, just an excuse.

Please read about the struggles my friend and I are encountering we're nearly as poor as church mice, and the State doesn't want to help us, apparently she's living too grandly off her gross income and who is living on the gross, if they cconsidered the net she would qualify, for State benefits.

So where are they spreading the wealth, not to us, and its not through lack of trying.

That's precisely the point. Why the problem with other socio-economic systems when your own isn't treating you well? Under socialism, you would be taken care of. Under communism, you would be taken care of. Under your system, you suffer "but at least..." Bah. You're not even thinking.

So students making flags representing communist or socialist states is bad somehow? Not at all! It makes them think about what a flag represents. Do you know all the meaning in your own flag? Flags are made with a good deal of symbolism. Are you aware of those meanings?

O.k is this what you want, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism#After_World_War_II

whatever happened to individualism. Now we have collectivism, everybody loves sports, my favorite,w we all have state of the art electronics we, all are lumped into one basket all ready.

I don't see why we have to pay teachers to teach the kids how to make any flag, why not let them study on line or something. Now on the surface marx's theory sounds o.k. but you let these greedy control oriented politicians do something then eventually into the future, i can see us be a starving country like North Korea, subservient to a dear leader of our own. What's wrong with lawful freedom, less taxes.

its o.k if your state wants to make changes, but TPTB making us all do things, well like I don't go to a Dr (unless, I'm in a lot of pain, now I have to have (let the insurance companies get richer) health insurance. I don't enjoy having to get something I have no personal use for.

Individualism? When do you remember that being the way of things? Besides, you have to be the responsible one in any case. If you're not doing it now, you won't do it then either. It's not a matter of you having the rights and responsibilities. They are there to a reasonable extent anyway. You just don't take them.

See, the thing is that we all handed over our rights to the government because people are lethargic, apathetic couch potatoes with no greater goals than to see their retirement checks or to win the lottery. The worst offenders would only be concerned if their favorite tv show were pre-empted. Otherwise, nothing shifts them from their apathy.

People can't cook anymore. Even people who think they can, can't. People can't feel anymore. Even those who think they can, can't. The list keeps rolling. The summation of that list is that people can't be responsible. Even those who think they can, can't. They don't and they aren't.

Individualism will be implemented to a great extent in our not too distant future. No one is ready for that yet. Be sure it's what you actually want. You're gonna have to shut off the tv and think about it though. No, I don't mean miss your tv shows for a while. I mean you'll lose time and interest in tv and all the other poisons of "modern" society.

O.k will agree with what you said about the majority (not everyone) people being apathetic and can't or won't cook and generally lazy, and expecting to be handed everything now. :)

But to me Individualism was not being lumped into one group and being different without being categorized into some neat little compartment, just like the term siblings all the time so cold what's wrong with my brother or sister, we do come in genders, we all do this mentality we all need help with our weight problems, or we have all seen this movie, or we all want/have these items.

Not everybody does but will be told we do by the MSM. They I think help generate these wild ideas from the politicians.

We were meant to be a republic, meaning politicians represented us, and worked for us (when was the last time they did that) Democracy was acccording to the Greek method meant to represent people as a group.

PS I do know the flags represent symbalism, just there's many such symbolic items on the back of our dollar bill, if one bothers to notice it.

So what you mean is more to be seen as individuals than to be individualistic then. But individualism means to have your own thoughts and do things your own way and to be respected for it, and as well for having the integrity and personal responsibility in and for those thoughts and actions. There is a huge difference. What you advocate is simply that you don't want to be categorized. Fine, but that's neither here nor there and it certainly doesn't lead to anything concrete in improving the state of civilization.

Frankly, if you don't want to be told things by the msm then *don't listen to their output*. It's as simple as that. Just do not consume *any* of their products. Don't either come back at me with "well a person has to stay informed about current events" or some such rubbish because it's purely social programming on their part. Do not participate in things with which you do not agree. That's called personal responsibility and that is the first step you can take toward being an individual: Be genuinely the product of your own thoughts and values.

America was only ever meant to be an offshoot of the UK. All the rest of it was a ruse to make money for the crown. Generations of people worldwide have bought into the dream. Look where the dream has got you. It has always been about slavery from the get-go. Look how long it's taken people to cop to the game.

yes, I've heard we were supposed to be an experiment of sorts.

There's only 2 reasons, I'm listening to their drivel,(there are better, more trustworthy news outlets on the internet if you want the real news) is my friend who is like a mom to me, is pretty much used to watching the news, but like me would ditch the news in a heartbeat, if there were something better on at the time we watch, unfortunately there's not.

Unfortunately my friend remembers a time when you could half way trust what the MSM tells you. You know the big 3 networks. :frown:

I have never bought anything from any of their sponsors on the news network(unless its groeries, then i have no choice, because that particular store is the closest i can walk to) I make it a point not to give them any enouragement. :)
