Recalling Dreams

Is there any way to recall a dream that you've forgotten? Would hypnosis work? Or some other sort of regression therapy?

My dreams are incredibly vivid, but when I wake up I can only recall vague images. Last night I dreamed I was reading a book - nearly an entire chapter. Other times I have dreamed of watching movies. These are not books and movies I have seen before, so it's not like telling myself a familiar story. I am a writer and would love to be able to "get back" the movie scenes and book pages from my dreams.

Hypnosis may work, but the best way to recall any dream is to train your mind to be able to do it easily. For some people it can take little time to train ,where others takes much longer. I of course am one that takes more time to train, but i'm getting better at it. I've tried lots of different methods. Here's the one that has worked the best for me: as I'm falling asleep, i tell myself over and over that I will remember my dreams.

Other methods include, writing a message to yourself on a piece of paper and looking at it before you go to sleep, and keeping it in a place you will see it when you wake up. Most people will tell you to keep a pen/pencil and some paper or a notepad beside your bed so that when you wake up you can immediately write your dream(s) down. Another way would be to keep an audio recording device near your bed so you can record your dreams the moment you wake up.

Like I said, I've tried many ways over the years, but the best one, for me, would be telling myself to remember.

Always remember, the BEST method is the one that works FOR YOU. So, if none of these work, I hope this gives you some ideas you can come up with for yourself.

Dreams are not important. Why would you want to remember what you just dreampt? It's just useless psychobabble nonsense that it best left forgotten, if you ask me.

By listening to your dreams, you can solve problems in your waking world at the very least. I think you need to delve into those dreams of yours, cuz you sure seam to have problems in your waking world!
