I just wanted to start a poll to see who thinks legitimate ET disclosure is on it way. Post any reasons why you think its coming.
Is UFO / Alien Disclosure coming soon?

While the question is straight foward enough - my vote is maybe as any disclosure will likely be similar to the other countries and that is simply releasing files and letting folks decide as they will with NO `government' actually saying the words `aliens are here and in our atmosphere. I go into all this at my ufo blog and have talked often of what I call `soft disclosure'.

I have to agree with m4ever on the whole 'soft disclosure' as he/she calls it. (sorry, I don't want to call you a guy if you're a girl or a girl if you're a guy.)
The only way 'disclosure' will take place in any account will be only if it can't be hidden anymore. Honestly, I don't know why the american government won't just come out and say they know aliens exist. They know they exist, the majority of the general public knows they exist. they know that we know they exist, so why not come out and say it? The best I can figure, is because it has something to do with their taking all the alien technology and they want it to look like they came up with it on their own. doesn't really make sense if you think about it. Wouldn't it make more sense to admit any contact with aliens, and use the UFOs as a cover for their own craft even though these craft have alien technology? I don't know, the more I type, the less any of this makes sense.
So, ignore that last paragraph if you would like to just read sensical rantings, and take the "disclosure will only happen at the benefit of the american government". If it doesn't benefit them, then they will never admit it, so really, the only thing that makes sense is if there are mass sightings that can't be ignored, disclosure will be imminent.

You're probably right. I just like to babble on and on and get distracted in the process and then I start to trail off and not make sense anymore, but yeah, to say they don't have control over our atmosphere is a damn good reason. Just one of many possibilities. My problem is, i'm an optimist, but i don't expect much, so nothing surprises me. So, that is to say, I HOPE they start being honest and reveal, but I don't ever expect them to. I know the truth, and that's what matters most to me. Most people I know, already believe in 'extraterrestrial life', so, for them to hide the truth, they're not really 'hiding' anything. They can only hide the truth from those who are asleep, and these days, that's getting less and less.
Sorry, I kinda trailed off again a bit there. I get so carried away sometimes. I guess it's just the passion I have for all this stuff.
Sungazer - I'm actually more of the train of thought that Soft Disclosure would have virtually no impact - as it has had no impact in other countries where that has occurred. Even within those soft disclosure documents are all sorts of HARD evidence (at least at the individual level) and encounters with alien beings. Generally they release or sensationalize the more comic bookish encounters.
Then again, high strangeness speaks for itself.

im not sure if i believe that the government will be the ones to let us know. But the et's will be letting the population know very soon. i hesitate to say alien but not of THIS world for sure. the evidence for dimensioal portals is mounting and if we watch these it will be only a matter of time

I think they always been here. Considering they go from our planet and back into space in their little orb spaceships. Now why they are here, I don't know yet.

It makes sense that ever since the second generation of stars that some higher (mankind or better) level intelligence has been present in the universe - that would have been about 7-9 billion years ago in most part of the universe. So, even while the Sun-Earth gig wasn't even going, `LIFE' may have been probing. Indeed, they may have come and gone from this 100 trillion mile patch many times in the past. Including many times over the last 25 millions years of Ape like creatures on the earths surface.
Now, that said, ever since the radio signals have been going into space and more of course - we have been sending our own `greeting card and invitation' - but, IMO, the number of `entities' within 80 light years with `near light speed' abilities - is probably a limited number. Same goes for how many `probes' may have been left in this region of the universe at any given time over the last say 8 billion years.
I'm also of the opinion - that IF consciousness actually has ANY ability to bring some sort of immortality - that billion year old entities simply EXIST - and may be anywhere or anywhen in some sense of the concepts. They indeed may be triggered by the consciousness of individuals or groups IMO. So a lot is going on.
Now, actual disclosure from the government has actually changed since the statement by a man named Phil Larson. And, IMO, so has the nature of UFO coverage by the MSM.

Well put Rick! However, your post fails to take in to account natural stargates on the earth and in space as well as time travel or even dimensional beings. I will have to look up Phil Larson thanks!
White Rabbit - O, I assure you I take both those possibilities into account - I was dealing with what I call `in time cone' situations ---- IMO, it is VERY unlikely that any official disclosure would be made by or about entities that are not permanent within our reality. I get very deep into this kind of stuff not on my UFO blog but my blog called The Heavy Stuff

Ok, so going back on everything that has been mentioned to this point, as for Government disclosure, NO, I highly doubt there will be that, but "Aliens" I'm sure WILL reveal themselves.
And if I understand you correctly, m4ever, beings that are ONLY within our dimensional realm being those that will be 'disclosed', then I see your point on that.

Sorry m4ever, it was not my intention to offend you. I would love for you to post your blog link so I could take a look.
The Phil Larson stuff was in relation of a PR campaign by President Obama about being `open'. So, last summer he sets up a criteria that allowed the public to ask any question if they got (I THINK) 25K people asking for it. And the question that the government answered with a talking head bean counter last year was two fold. 1) Is the government hiding any UFO information from the public 2) Have humans and aliens interacted
The official answer was NO and NO. MSNBC did a great tongue in cheek response that I have on my UFO blog UDCC - UFO Disclosure Countdown Clock in the sidebar. So, the USA is on record with this response - at least this administration is on record, who knows if that data will be `revised'.
Can't link with a direct link until ten posts. UDCC is searchable with simply the name of the blog or UFO Disclosure and it will be on the front page of G.

The White House set up on their website Whitehouse.gov a section called "We The People" where anyone can sign up and create or sign petitions. If you gets the required signature threshold in 30 day you will get a response from The White House.
On November 4th of 2011 Stephen Bassett along with others I presume created a petition that asked if "the US government has any evidence that any life exists outside our planet or that an extraterrestrial presences has contacted or engaged any member of the human race".
The petition was very successful generating over 12,000 signatures. The White House's Office of Science & Technology Policy which is run by Dr. John Holden responded by denying that "any existence of life outside our planet, knowledge of, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race."
For the first petition they only required 5000 signatures to get the White House to respond to a petition. The White House raised it to 25,000 signatures now. They raised it due to the fact that they were inundated with too many petitions. Somewhere around 10 to 20,000.
The purpose of first petition was to get The White House on record with a formal statement on extraterrestrial life! They basically set them up and got them ready for the next petition by catching them in a lie.
So Stephen Bassett along with others I presume decided to put a little more pressure on the white House with another petition this time asking them what was the Clinton's office of science and technology policy investigating back in 1993 in concert with billionaire Clinton friend Laurance Rockefeller?
They require 25,000 in 30 days this time.
The first petition made a lot of news coverage more then all the other 300 petitions combined at the time. So if they get the 25,000 signatures, some very powerful people will have to answer some very difficult questions. 25,000 Signatures guaranteed a response, a lot of media coverage and worldwide story!
What the second petition does is directly confront the position by the White House in very interesting way:
18 years ago Bill Clinton's office of science and technology policy under the administration of Dr. John Gibbons was approached by Laurance Rockefeller on March 29, 1993 with a desire to meet and discuss with Bill Clinton about releasing all UFO files in government hands and re-instituting investigations into this issue and essentially ending the truth embargo on extraterrestrial / UFO existence. He wanted Clinton to be the disclosure president. Laurance Rockefeller was a billionaire who has funded many groups and paranormal researchers.
Shortly after he approached Dr. John Gibbons he was seriously considering putting a full-page ad in every newspaper in the country calling for a release of all the files and reinvestigation of the UFO issue. This would have cost Laurance Rockefeller and estimated $30 million dollars. Not wanting this to happened this forced the Clinton administration's hand to sit down and talk with Laurance Rockefeller.
Over the next three years there are many meetings at the JY Ranch, there was reports, investigations, many materials were brought and even a book emerged from it. None of the people involved directly with this have ever spoken publicly, not even a single question from the press.
Except for one problem; Canadian researcher Grant Cameron in the year 2000, knowing of the Rockefeller initiative he files a freedom of information act request to the office of science and technology policy asking for everything from that period regarding The Rockefeller Initiative, UFOs, ETS you name it. He got back over a 1000 pages of documents confirming it all with nothing blacked out. Thanks to the work of Grant Cameron and his website we have the documents to confirm it.

Disclosure is the acknowledgment of the extraterrestrial presence, not just releasing documents.

It's too bad the only Got 6937 signatures, I would love to have seen how they would've handled responding to the second petition. I'm going to have to take time and read the documents that Grant Cameron received from his freedom of information act request.
Now why can't we start another petition but this time get the word out on every form we can before the petition is even stated. Have a time online of when it's going up, give people 30 days or so and tell them be ready and it's going up on May 25. How do we maximize the potential for petition signatures?

I believe they control whether or not they let the signatures get high enough to respond, why would they ever leave that to chance? They let the first petition go because they know it would do no harm. Then they stop the next one! They are in full control Stephen Bassett!
Same reason why they control the votes with the Diebold voting machines and the way Google control view counts on YouTube when a video they don't want to get too much attention is too high!

Start a petition yourself, anybody can start one and the hard part is you will have to get some sort of way to bring people in to sign it.

Yeah there is no reason to start a petition unless you have the ability to get the signatures, otherwise you're wasting your time. You almost need to get the signatures first before you put the petition up, not that that's possible.
