I used to read lots of psychology/self-help books and articles.

One of them that really stands out in my mind was an article with the title of this thread title.

I thought about putting this on the Spirituality sub-forum, but I wasn't sure it fit there so I'm putting it here.

I can't remember all 10 things. And I'm not positive I'm not filling in one or more of my own ideas, but it doesn't matter. I just think the overall concept is really cool.

Here's the list:
  1. Do a mental exercise.
  2. Do a physical exercise.
  3. Do something you've been putting off.
  4. Do something for someone else.
  5. Do something for pleasure.
  6. Do something with your hands.
