    Honey, I killed the superbug

AUSTRALIAN researchers have been astonished to discover a cure-all right under their noses -- a honey sold in health food shops as a natural medicine.

Far from being an obscure health food with dubious healing qualities, new research has shown the honey kills every type of bacteria scientists have thrown at it, including the antibiotic-resistant "superbugs" plaguing hospitals and killing patients around the world.

Some bacteria have become resistant to every commonly prescribed antibacterial drug. But scientists found that Manuka honey, as it is known in New Zealand, or jelly bush honey, as it is known in Australia, killed every bacteria or pathogen it was tested on.

It is applied externally and acts on skin infections, bites and cuts.

The honey is distinctive in that it comes only from bees feeding off tea trees native to Australia and New Zealand, said Dee Carter, from the University of Sydney's School of Molecular and Microbial Biosciences.

You will NEVER see this in a hospital or pharmacy because they can't patent, copyright or trademark any nature occurring medicine. Which in turn means they can't collect royalties from the product.

So they patent, copyright or trademark inferior products and sell them to the unsuspecting public, all the while people get sicker or die.

All honeys have antibiotic properties, its a good home remedy to keep around the house. It way better for you health then sugar. Slower to digest and a longer burning energy source. Helps your brain process information, and aids in problem solving.

This and.... what Boiling Frog said is why they want to eliminate bee populations.

Honey is the best thing going. I had discovered honey for a cold as a young teen, and never turned back. It does wonders. Now, I'll admit, I didn't know that it had topical uses, and that those topical uses are just as beneficial as ingesting honey. I also didn't know that there were so many different kinds of honey and that not all of them are able to be consumed. That part drew my attention.
The truth IS out there! We just tend to look in all the wrong places.
