That’s not how he said it, of course. The senator from Connecticut went on the government’s premier Mockingbird network (in this case, CBS) and said he expects federal health care legislation to be extremely popular, despite opinion polls that show a majority of Americans oppose it.

In other words, Americans are slavering idiots who have no idea what is good for them – that’s for the government to decide – and it is only a matter of time before they “warm” to this draconian legislation that mandates at gunpoint they buy insurance from a large corporation.

Dodd talks about Congress passing legislation during the Christmas season. He neglects to mention Congress passed the Federal Reserve Act on the day before Christmas Eve in 1913.

Can you believe the arrogance of this permanently emplaced Congress fixture? He has nothing but contempt for the American people who do not want this legislation and know what it represents — a government stick-up at gunpoint.

Dodd said the bill includes “consumer protection” (for consumers that accept — those who don’t will be visited by a SWAT team) and will ban “insurance companies from denying benefits or charging higher premiums on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions,” the standard excuse now offered to the plebs by Democrats and their propagandists in the corporate media.

As OpEdNews noted on December 20, the rising stock prices of large corporate health insurance corporations are the real story not covered by the Mockingbird media. “Follow the money and things get real clear real fast.”

Dennis Kucinich remarked as the House considered its own version of Obamacare that the final bill “inevitably will lead to even more costs, more subsidies, and higher profits for insurance companies — a bailout under a blue cross.”

Even the liberal darling of Hollywood, Michael Moore, called this bill for what it is — a boondoggle written by the health care industry. “Believe me, the health insurance companies are not that upset about it. In fact, they helped write this bill,” Moore told Canadian television last month.
