Thread: Finally somebody connected Evangelistic Christianity with Stockholm Syndrome

I think all fundamentalist religions and Stockholm Syndrome are connected.

Anyone who has been within the church and is no longer indoctrinated can easily attest to this, including myself. Most denominations are cults and employ multiple brainwashing techniques to the point where many of us just becoming adults are suffering through intense psychological damage from it, not to mention some of the even crazier non churches who twist that dogma even further. Even despite leaving I can’t fully “disconnect” my brain from the faith because it’s basically programmed into me thanks to an abusive groomer I dealt with from 16-18 and it’s terrifying how much it takes control over the mind
