I heard this song but never really paid attention to the lyrics before. Great way of thinking. We should all stop and think about what is being said in this song.

It's NOT about the MONEY!

Here's the lyrics as written out by someone else:

Price Tag -- Jessie J (Featuring B.O.B.)

Seems like everybody's got a price
I wonder how they sleep at night
When the sale comes first and the truth comes second
Just stop for a minute and smile

Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious
You got your shades on your eyes and your heels so high
That you can't even have a good time

Everybody look to their left
Everybody look to their right
Can you feel that? Yeah
We'll pay them with love tonight

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

Ain't about the cha-ching, cha-ching
Ain't about the ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

We need to take it back in time
When music made us all unite
And it wasn't low blows and video hoes
Am I the only one gettin' tired?

Why is everybody so obsessed?
Money can't buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now
Guarantee we'll be feelin' alright

Everybody look to their left
Everybody look to their right
Can you feel that? Yeah
We'll pay them with love tonight

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

Ain't about the cha-ching, cha-ching
Ain't about the ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

Yeah, yeah, well, keep the price tag and take the cash back
Just give me six strings and a half stack
And you can keep the cars, leave me the garage
And all I, yes, all I need are keys and guitars

And guess what, in 30 seconds I'm leaving to Mars
Yes, we leaving across these undefeatable odds
It's like this man, you can't put a price on life
We do this for the love, so we fight and sacrifice every night

So we ain't gon' stumble and fall, never
Waiting to see, a sign of defeat, uh uh
So we gon' keep everyone moving their feet
So bring back the beat and then everybody sing, it's not about

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

Ain't about the cha-ching, cha-ching
Ain't about the ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

Ain't about the cha-ching, cha-ching
Ain't about the ba-bling, ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tag

Yeah, yeah
Oh, forget about the price tag

Everybody has a price because we are taught right from birth that everything has a price, if everything was free and rightfully shared and everybody had ethics and morality this would be a great place to live. Life is more complicated than that, however we can change the thinking on money but this is to take some doing.

If people didn't have a price they wouldn't go to work everyday, they're already whores paying with their 8-12 hours of their time. The sad part is most people love it and don't see a problem with it.

Yes, and that's the whole point, now isn't it? To be aware of it, and to realize that the world goes on without it. The song has a good message, but I guarantee, no one hears it.

There sure are some nice lyrics to this song, and lots of others. It's too bad that people don't actually listen to the words, they only go along with the beat and the tune.

Words are important, it's how we communicate. There are lots of artists out there that have to hide great messages inside the Illuminati controlled media. It's also too bad that most videos have nothing to do with the lyrics of a song.

The problem with songs they are mostly written in code. It's a poem with many meanings. The only meaning that it's really important is the writers intended meaning. What did they intend the song to mean, not what we think it means.

Otherwise this is a great song and maybe it will help wake some people up!

Most songs these days HAVE to be coded. If the writers don't write in code for all the things they want to say, they wouldn't be aloud to go mainstream in these Illuminati run organizations called the entertainment industry.

I just think it's got a nice surface message. The actual words are good and people should listen.

Music is poetry, and if you listen to it, rather than read it, a lot of what is said is missed. If you READ it, you get a better message out of it. Most people won't read it, they'd rather listen with the background noise we call music, which distracts from the words, hence why it's noise.

Well put guys, I couldn't say it better myself. Even movies have code hidden inside them. Whether it's with the objects lying around on the set or the words that the people are speaking themselves. There is a hidden code.

Oh, absolutely. Everything that we see on TV or in the movies or hear on the radio. Anything and everything produced by Hollywood and the music industry, so the whole entertainment industry, has hidden messages within. Most things will hit our subconscious and we don't even necessarily notice them. Well, that is to say, those that are not aware of these types of things will not notice them. I notice things all the time. Drives me crazy the amount of sexual content is embedded in EVERYTHING.

I like it when things are on the surface like in the lyrics of a song like this. Where the message can be clearly heard. It is within the video, which has little to nothing to do with the lyrics, that the symbolism of the entertainment industry is placed and is clouding our minds. The music in behind the message is also clouding us like I stated above, but the video is much much worse for that.

I agree with the statement in the poem, but I don't agree with what goes on in the video, it's not what the poem is about.
