Loneliness is contagious?

CHICAGO - The feeling of loneliness can feel like a cold virus spread about groups of people. Or so say researchers from the University of Chicago, the University of California-San Diego and Harvard.
Lonely people share their feelings with their friends and acquaintances. These then spend less time with people who are lonely and are thus themselves becoming lonelier.
Others feel attracted by its nature less lonely people. People who are lonely, so come up in a downward spiral. This makes it increasingly difficult to end this situation.
