Hologram of Tupac to go on tour - No kidding!

If they can resurrect dead rappers in order to go on tour again, they can resurrect dead savrious such a Jesus?

Turns out that being alive isn't actually necessary for performing at a live music tour. After Tupac's unbelievable/creepy/magical appearance at the Coachella Festival on Sunday night performing with Dr Dre and Snoop there are rumours he might be going on tour.

The rapper was killed in a drive-by shooting in 1996, but materialised on stage at Coachella to perform four songs.

He spoke to the audience, referenced the festival and even shared some banter with Dr Dre and Snoop.

And now according to a Wall Street Journal interview with the company who created Tupac's image, they might be taking him on stadium tour.

Ed Ulbrich of Digital Domain Media Group Inc. explained that the 'hologram' is actually a 2-D image and that they're speaking to tour representatives for Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg about it appearing with them on a couple of dates. The report says a possible option would be to tour in stadiums with other hip-hop stars such as Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Whalifa.

Ed explained, "This is not found footage. This is not archival footage. This is an illusion and this is just the beginning. Dre has a massive vision for this."

Nick Smith, the president of AV Concepts who projected and staged the image, told MTV News on Monday, "We worked with Dr Dre on this and it was Dre's vision to bring this back to life. It was his idea from the very beginning and we worked with him and his camp to utilize the technology to make it come to life...You can take their likenesses and voice and take people that haven't done concerts before or perform music they haven't sung and digitally recreate it."

So now all the record companies are going to get themselves some dead singer holograms and go on to tour singing corporate owned music to fans so the record companies can make more money, off of some poor dead singers image. That is just sick! So that is why the record companies want all the music and the image of the person so that when holographic technology comes out they can put the singer back onto tour and make a fortune. Who cares about the real person, they own the image and the music. Hope all you musicians are proud of yourself for selling your soul to these devils, for a big house and a car and not really that much money, especially when compared to the bundles of money these corporations are going make off of you for hundreds of years to come.

The worry is just a matter of time and on the fake actors on your television screen if there isn't already??

"Elvis isn't actually dead we found him and he's back on tour....as our new hologram!"

I think Truth Vibrations said it best with the record companies OWNING THE IMAGE of the singer. By owning the image, they can do whatever they want with it, whether or not the artist is still alive.

Personally, I think it's just sick to do that with ANYONE! (Not that I think Tupac is dead. Just another conspiracy.)

And ya Monkey, if they can bring a dead singer back to the stage, they can bring a dead prophet back too! Next you'll be seeing Jesus and Mohammed for sure! God knows who else they have planned. You know they'll have the Virgin Mary come around again!

Denise, I like your point about the fake actors. Who knows, maybe we ARE seeing some of that on TV right now! There ARE some actors who move very oddly, you gotta wonder about them.

Anyways, it's wrong and it shouldn't be happening.

If there open and honest about what they're doing with the holographic technology it may not be such a problem, but we all know they have a sinister plan to develop that technology to point they can use against us.

Well, I think you're right Truth, they'll always find a sinister use for it. They already are using it in this way and I guarantee it. It's up to US to not allow it to be used negatively.

But, alas, I think all the Tupac fans (and fans of any other stars they choose to use this with), will gladly accept it because they are friggin sheep.

The problem is I believe holographic technology will make stars obsolete, they could create a whole new star just out of nothing, just mix some actors together and you have a whole new John Wayne. All technology can be used in a negative way, even Einstein knew that the development of atomic weapons was going to be used in a negative way as well as a positive way.

That's how technology goes it's the user that determines how the technology is going to be used not the technology itself. For example you can use a pen and paper (which are technology) to write an article that puts a certain belief in people's minds using it in a negative way, or you could write the truth on paper and teach people in a positive way.

There are probably already using holographic, technology they probably been doing for the past 10 years, they just know we are too stupid or ignorant to tell the difference

This just gives more proof to the conspiracy theory that Tupac is still alive. It's probably really him going around and they are claiming it to be holographic technology. But in reality it's actually Tupac. I can just hear the advertisements now: We've even aged him to match the age he would be at this point in time!

He probably still wants to perform but just doesn't want all the media attention, so he pretends to be a hologram and then no more paparazzi!

hahaha, now you're funny! I suppose Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley will be next? The King's not dead and he's on tour as a hologram!

That's just hilarious. I wouldn't be surprised to come to find out that what you've said is true. I have heard the talk about Tupac being still alive, so this could easily happen, if that's true.

It's a good way for the holographic imagery to be passed off as better than it really is. Unless of course they choose to have him wear something that they project the image on top of to make it purposely look crappy to be able to fool us with things in the grander scheme. Just a thought.

So basically they're trying to make him look like a hologram, that's hilarious! What's next holographic movie stars?
