Red Bull tests above levels for cocaine

Six German states have Cola Red Bull energy drinks pulled from the shelves after they were tested positive to traces of cocaine.
The ban began after a routine food safety tests conducted by the authorities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia 0.5 micrograms per liter coca leaf extract in the drink, either.
According to the analysis, each view of the beverage to 0.13 micrograms of cocaine that is not a serious threat to health. We need 12,000 liters of Red Bull Cola drink to feel the negative effects. However, the variation of the analysis was enough to cause concern.
Officials said the cocaine level was too low to pose a risk to the health forms.
Red Bull Cola has protested against the action and insisted that the extract of coca leaves is used worldwide in food and natural flavors. Red Bull said their cola "is harmless and marketable in both the U.S. and Europe.
The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment plans on Wednesday for a more detailed report.
