It may be impossible to prove a negative. However, for you to prove a positive (i.e. that you are Doc Brown's daughter) is possible - only if it is true.

The request that you prove your identity is a reasonable one in the light of the fact that you are selling books based on that claim. If you cannot or will not prove it then the suspicion remains, no matter how much you squirm.
