I can't really explain it. It was one of the most fascinating things I've seen in my life. I was in the pool with my family, (husband and 3 kids), and I had been staring at the sun. Whilst staring at the sun, I was thinking about "having more money than we have plans for". I then turned around and looked up, only to see a dragonfly. I thought, "cool", I hadn't seen any dragonflies yet this summer and it's always nice to see one. But then, I spotted another, and then another. The more I looked, the more I saw. I had NEVER seen so many dragonflies at one time. There must have been 50 to 100, maybe even more. Everywhere I looked, high up above my yard and the yards surrounding mine, I saw dragonflies. Unbelievable. So, I just floated there in the pool and watched this beautiful site in pure amazement. This was somewhere 6 and 7 pm Eastern Time July 29th, 2011.

Now, I have always known deep down inside me, from a young age, that dragonflies are a sign of good luck. Every time they come around me, this proves to be true, so needless to say, I got really excited. So, I did a little research and found that the Chinese believe dragonflies to be a sign of prosperity and luck. WOW! The following day, again in the pool, this time with my sister and her 3 kids as well as my family. One dragonfly, buzzed past my husband and over to me, almost clipping me with it's wings, over the edge of the pool and back past me and past my husband, back over the edge of the pool to the grass and up over the fence not to be seen again. WOW! No one else saw this except myself and my husband.

Whatever good luck is coming my way, I sure do welcome it.

I just wanted to share my experience with everyone and look forward to any input. Others' experiences on the subject, etc.

Ihad a dream some years ago, about a bright blue dragonfly. A couple of days later, when I got home from work, a bright blue dragonfly was perched on my front door. I see a lot of dragonflies at Aurora reservoir every summer. I take the grandkids there as mych as I can. It gets all of us out of the house and back to at least a bit of nature. This past summer, we watched some goslings grow up.
