David Hersch, vice-chairman of the South African Zionist Federation, who a few days ago had defended his invitation to Israeli war criminal, the leader of Opposition in Knesset, Tzipi Livni, to visit South Africa on moral grounds – has now demanded that the Nobel Peace Laureate, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu (born 1931) be removed or resign from his position as patron of the Cape Town Holocaust Centre and the Johannesburg Holocaust and Genocide Centre. In a circulated letter Hersch called the Archbishop Emeritus anti-Semitic and bigoted. These sentiments were echoed by well-known Israel-booster Professor Alan Dershowitz, who called Tutu a “bigot” and an “anti-Semite”.

David Hersch in his anti-Tutu rant claims that Tutu’s “anti-Israel behaviour” and that his criticism of Israel’s policies is “morally repugnant” based on “horrific and grotesquely false accusation against the Jewish people”.

“Israel will never get true security and safety through oppressing another people. A true peace can ultimately be built only on justice. We condemn the violence of suicide bombers, and we condemn the corruption of young minds taught hatred; but we also condemn the violence of military incursions in the occupied lands, and the inhumanity that won’t let ambulances reach the injured,” wrote Tutu in 2002.

Personally, I believe Bishop Tutu, may be a honest follower of Jesus (as) – but he is not popular within the Judeo-Christian religious and political establishment – for his “political wrong views” – such as support for Palestinian and recognizing great Islamic contributions toward West’s scientific and social progress during his interview with Haroon Siddique, then editor of the Canada’s largest daily ‘The Toronto Star’. However, Bishop Tutu did receive big hand of applause from USrael for supporting the Iranian Green Movement against the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in June 2009.

Bishop’s another crime against Jews is that as member of ‘The Elders’ – Tutu congratulated Turkey for having sent its flotilla of humanitarians in May 2010 while the Elders condemned Zionazi government’s brutal attempt to stop it by murdering nine Turkish aid workers in cold blood. The Elders also called upon the US and EU to have direct negotiations with Hamas, the democratically elected government of Palestinians living inside occupied Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem.
