Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has strongly condemned the NATO/ISAF ‘blatant and unacceptable act’ resulting in the loss of Pakistani soldiers’ lives, according to the ISPR press release issued on Saturday. He has ordered the military to make arrangements to retaliate against such irresponsible action befittingly.
The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) spokesman Carlston Jacob, admitted on Saturday that the Mohmand attack by NATO-ISAF helicopters was in response to a call by ISAF ground forces in the area who called for help when they were attacked by the local gunmen.
American-led NATO and ISAF forces on Saturday attacked two Pakistan security forces check posts in the Mohmand agency, killing at least 26 Pakistani troops including officers and wounding more than 12 others. Aircraft of NATO and the ISAF forces operating inside troubled Afghanistan under US supervision, came deep into the Salala area of Tehsil Baizai some 25 kilometers west of Ghalanai, the headquarters of the Mohmand agency, Saturday early morning. The two security check posts were destroyed completely.
This was not the first incident of its kind, as the NATO and the ISAF off and on resort to border violations and have killed scores of innocent Pakistanis including men in a uniform in a number of attacks, particularly in the Waziristan agencies, in the past.
However, this time Pakistan Army already pissed-off by the Memogate Scandal involving Pakistan’s ambassador to Washington, Hussain Haqqani, and the Zionist Lobby in a plot against Pakistan Army – could not take any more. Islamabad has asked NATO to vacate its air base in Balochistan within 15 days. In addition Pakistan has shut-down two NATO supply routes to Afghanistan with immediate effect. More than 70% of NATO supplies pass through Pakistan territory.
Pakistan Army is also considering to review all engagements, including military and intelligence with the US, NATO and ISAF.
Israel-Firster lawmakers from all three parties have threaten to stop USAID to Pakistan military. Since 1950s, Pakistan have received close to $30 billion in aid which is what Israel gets in three years.
Iran’s outgoing ambassador in Islamabad, Mashallah Shakri, in his farewell speech at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) headed by Senator Khurshid Ahmed PhD (member of Jamaat-e-Islami) said that Tehran will cooperate with Pakistan in development and security. He was categorical that Iran wants to see Pakistan stand on her own feet but these foreign loans and aid does not let Pakistan strive for a better, prosperous and independent Pakistan.
Among the 57 Muslim nation-states, Pakistan is the only one with 80-100 nuclear bombs.
