On Monday, in an interview with Scott Pelley of CBS, US secretay of defence Leon Panetta claimed that Iran could have a nuclear bomb within a year or less. He did not back-up his prediction by any new intelligence discovery. His claim was so ridiculous that even Pentagon spokesperson called Panett’a rant “hypothetical“.
Panetta did not forget to add some sweatener in his “hypothetically” prediction for his masters at the Jewish Lobby. He assured them that Washington will never allow Tehran to build a nuclear bomb and the military option is still on the table.
Admiral Mullen’s spokesperson, Captain John Kirby, told reporters that IAEA inspectors who have regular access to Iran’s nuclear facilities – will be able to detect any unkosher activities going on there.
Panetta’s claim was so ridiculous that even David Albright, the Jewish founder and president of Washington-based ‘Institute for Science and International Security‘ called it “definitely misleading“.
“It’s not helpful to speculate about nuclear sites without providing evidence. Senior officials should be more careful. The likelyhood that Iran could have a nuclear weapon within a year was a “low probabality” as any shift to weapons-grade uranium would be exposed by the inspectors and Israel would almost certainly take military action,” Albright told AFP.
In July 2011 – former head of Israeli Mossad Meir Dagan told Knesset committee that Iran will not have a nuclear capability before 2015.
The US independent intelligence agencies (N.I.E) have not changed their views that Tehran stopped its nuclear program for military usage in 2003.
