On Sunday, the US-based Organization of American States (OAS), wrapped up its two-day VI summit meeting in Colombia. The summit was hosted by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, Washington’s closest ally in Latin America. It was attended by more than thirty heads of state in addition to the American birds of a feather, US president Barack Obama and US secretary of state Hillary Clinton – and Canada’s Israel-Firster prime minister Stephen Harper.
In a major embarrassment for Obama/Hillary – 11 US secret service agents were hurriedly sent home, plus five military officials grounded over allegations of bringing hookers into their hotel rooms.
“I had a breakfast meeting to discuss trade and drugs, but the only thing the other delegates wanted to talk about was the story of the agents and the hookers,” chuckled one Latin American diplomat in the historic city of Cartagena.
“Obama’s guards expelled in Colombia over prostitution – shame the gringos think that Latin America is a brothel and they act like it too,” commented Venezuelan political commentator Nicmer Evans via Twitter.
Earlier, both the US and Canada had blocked an attempt by Latin American nations to invite Cuba. Cuba has angered America’s powerful Jewish groups for refusing to release American Jewish CIA operative Alan Gross jailed in Havana.
Cuba’s allies, the nine-member bloc ALBA, including Ecuador, Venezuela and Bolivia boycotted the summit for Cuba being not invited to the OAS summit. The bloc member countries have been threatened with sanctions by the US and Canada if they did not stop their growing trade relations with Iran.
In reality – Barack Obama’s dream of uniting Latin Americas politically and economically – totally failed at the summit.
In January 2012, when Iranian president Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited four Latin American states (Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba and Ecuador), The Washington Post, had claimed that Tehran is trying to woo Latin American states who are shunning it. However, none of the Israeli media or Jewish bloggers claimed that Ahmadinejad’s staff members were involved with hookers in those four countries.
