The US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), a subsidiary of the Pentagon, is planning to hold a controversial symposium on Pakistan’s province of Balochistan in Washington DC next week. In order to guess who could be behind this symposium – my fellow Canadian, Tarek Fatah, will be one of the speakers at the symposium. Tarek Fatah along with Canada’s prime minister Stephen Harper – are the only two Canadians listed on Israel Hasbara Committe.
On February 8, 2012 – Israel-Firster Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif), introduced a resolution in US House of Representatives calling upon Islamabad to recognize its province of Balochistan as an “independent state”. Rohrabacher also used the opportunity to attack Israel’s two enemies in single breath.
“It is US policy to oppose aggression and the violation of human rights inherent in the subjugation of national groups as currently being shown in Iran and Pakistan against the aspirations of the Baloch people,” said Rohrabacher, who seems to agree with fellow Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum who claimed in January 21012: “There are no Palestinians. It’s Israel land. Israel doesn’t have to give it back any more than the United States have to give New Mexico and Texas to Mexico which were gotten “through a war”.”
Zaki Khalid, a Lahore-based journalist has quoted a Pakistani intelligence official saying that Israel is bent on destroying the United States by using it a proxy to provoke retaliatory attacks from Muslim countries, especially Pakistan.
American Jewish writer and blogger, Max Blumenthal, in an article entitled The Sugar Mama of anti-Muslim Hate (The Nation, June 13, 2012) has claimed that pro-Israel rich Jews are funding the “Islamphobia” cult in the West. Max says Nina Rosenwald, heiress to the ‘Sears Roebuck fortune’ has donated more than $2.8 million since 2000 to “organizations that fan the flames of Islamophobia”.
The Bloch people are tribe-based Muslims and live on both sides of Pakistan-Iran border.
