Yesterday, Le Pen 44, leader of National Front, in an interview with pro-Israel French daily Le Monde, called for a ban on wearing Jewish skullcaps (Kippah) in “shops, on public transport and on the streets”.

She based her logic on the French law that bans religious head-cover (Hijab) for Muslim women, saying, why should not a similar ban be applied on the religious headgear for Jewish men. Le Pen was among the three presidential candidates early this year. She, along with Nicolas Sarkozy, was defeated by Francois Hollande. She received 17% of the total votes cast.

Le Pen who is currently suing the French pro-Israel atheist weekly Charlie Hebdo for portraying her in an unflattering way – supported the paper’s right to republish anti-Prophet Danish Cartoons on Wednesday as part of ’freedom of press’! Fearing retaliatory protest to Charlie Hebdo’s inflammatory anti-Islam action, Paris has ordered closing of its embassies and schools in 20 Muslim countries.

Flemming Rose, the Zionist Jew cultural editor of Danish Jyllands-Posten was the creator and publisher of the notorious anti-Prophet cartoons in 2005. Professor James Petras wrote in February 2006: “The reason for the publication of the cartoons is rooted in Israeli efforts to polarize the world in its favor and to promote isolation, economic sanctions and/or a military attack on Iran“. The French Jewish lobby groups which had supported Le Pen’s anti-Islam demands; bans on Hijab, prayers in public places, the serving of halal foods in schools and an end to foreign investment in French mosques – did not take Pen’s latest demand sitting down. French Jewish president Francois Hollande denounced Le Pen’s comments on Friday, saying: “Anything that divides or opposes people is clumsy and inappropriate. The French Republic already has rules on secularism“.

French education minister Vincent Peillon said Le Pen “is faning the flames of fundamentalism with her statements – while she is the main fundamentalist”.

Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, president of the pro-Israel Conference of European Rabbis, said: “Her suggestion of a ban on wearing a kippah in public takes us straight back to the times of state-sponsored anti-Semitism under the Vichy regime. Any sane politician will disqualify these comments as total madness and profoundly insulting to the French ideals of freedom of expression“.

“When Le Pen’s National Front aggresses immigrants and Muslims, the man who represents French Jews (Richard Prasquier, president CRIF) doesn’t see anything deeply wrong and writes this to the people of Israel,” Claude Askolovitch, senior French political journalist wrote in the weekly Marianne, in April 2012.

The French Jewish lobby had pinned down Mossad Toulouse false flag operation on French Muslims earlier this year.

France is home to Europe’s largest Muslim (6-7 million) and Jewish (500,000) population.
