The Swedish artist Carl Michael von Hausswolff’s painting doesn’t make fun or denies the Holocaust. The problem is the artist made it from the ashes of someone who died at the Majdanek Nazi labour camp in Poland which the artist claims he collected 20 years ago.
The painting is scheduled to open to public at the Martin Bryder Gallery in Lund on Dec. 15, 2012.
Salomon Schulman, a Yiddish teacher, has called the display “disgusting” and a “desecration of Jewish bodies”. The Holocaust Museum at Majdanek in a statement said: ” We are deeply shocked and outraged by the information that the painting allegedly was made with the ashes of Majdanek victims. This action is an artistic provocation deserving only to be condemned“. The statement also claimed that the artist stole the ashes from the site without official permission.
Originally, the Holocaust industry had claimed that Nazis (Frankist Jews, according to Rabbi Wolf Gunther Plaut) killed 1.5 million Jews at Majdanek camp. But later, the numbers of dead were brought down to 79,000.
Jan Bernhoff, a Swedish lecturer at Aso Community College in Stockholm, had attended 2006 Holocaust Conference in Tehran. In his lecture he had claimed 300,000 Jews died in the Holocaust during WW II as opposed to the Zionists’ figure of six million. Jan was fired by the college principal Britt-Marie Johansson for attending the conference. Jan sued the ministry of schools and eventually received good compensation from Jan Bjorklund, minister of schools at that time.
Israeli professor Yeshyahu Leibowictz (Hadassah University) has called Holocaust – the new Jewish religion.
