Yesterday, hundreds of millions of victims of western colonial powers around the world, mourned the death of Venezulan President Hugo Chavez 58. He died after years of suffering with cancer. The news of Chavez death was announced by Vezeluelan vice-president Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday. Chavez died at a Caracas military hospital. Maduro just before Chavez death had claimed that Venezuela’s enemies afflicted Chavez with cancer which eventually took his life.
Chavez once recalled a warning he received from Castro, saying: “Chavez take care. These (US-Israel) people have developed technology. You are very careless. Take care what you eat, what they give you to eat – a little needle and they inject you with I don’t know what“.
Nicolas Maduro received condolence messages from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, EU head Herman Van Rompuy, European Commission head Jose Manuel Barroso, Chinese President Hu Jintao, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, India’s prime minister Manmohan Singh, British Foreign Secretary William Hague, Cuban president Rahul Castro, MP Fidel Castro, and UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon.
Ahmadinejad hailed his close ally for “serving the people of Venezuela and defending human and revolutionary values. He gave his life to the elevation of his country and the freedom of his people,” said Ahmadinejad in his condolence message to Venezuelan vice-president Nicolas Maduro.
Israrel-Firster Barack Obama could not hide his joy at the death of Chavez by saying that the US was interested in “constructive” future relationship with Venezuela.
“President Hugo Chavez was a hero in every sense of the word. He stood up to the U.S. empire. His vision of a world without imperialism and poverty will continue to inspire the peoples of the Americas, and indeed the entire world. Under the leadership of President Chavez, Venezuela sent aid to impoverished communities across the U.S. We will never forget this real, meaningful and concrete solidarity,” read the message from the Freedom Road Socialist Organization.
Chavez will be mourned by millions of Cubans and tens of thousands of Americans who used to receive free oil from him. He will also be missed by tens of millions of Palestinians, Lebanese, Libyans and Iranians who were supported by Chavez in their resistance US-Israel imperialism during the last decade. However, the greatest losers are Venezuelans and the rest of Latin Americans who lost the only leader who stood against the western imperial Ziofascism.
Hugo Chevez’s political-revolutionary career was mostly influence by the Venezuelan liberator Simon Bolivar and Cuban liberator Fidel Castro. This could be the reason that Chevez used to call his Iranian counter-part, Dr. Ahmadinejad, as “my brother”.
Hugo Chavez who came to power in 1999, transformed Venezuela and most of Latin America, known as America’s backyard for exploitation for oil reserves, farmland and other natural resources – in a way many reformers would envy. During this period, Chavez re-invented his nation into a Socialist Republic. He earned the admiration of 99% in the country for building a sprawling network of social programs that redistributed country’s wealth. But he was also hated by local 1% fro-West fatcats for cosying up to foreign leaders who hated the US and Israel and for shutting down pro-USrael media.
While the Zionist-controlled mainstream media is overjoyed at the news of Chavez’s death – it has left many Latino commentators wondering what will happen to the Bolivarian Revolution that he lead at home and other ALBA countries and the region?
Many local pundits are of the opinion that the pro-West opposition lead by Jewish Henrique Capriles Radonski doesn’t pose a serious threat to Chavez lieutenant, the vice-president Nicolas Maduro in the near future. However, the present pro-Chavez leadership headed by Maduro and Cabello will deteriorate as time passes – as none of them have the leadership qualities Chavez had.
“A widespread conspiracy by the US to penetrate the various civilian and military pro-Chavez leadership circles to promote the reversal of the revolutionary process would continue. This could be supplemented with future scenarios in which pro-Chavez forces and opposition forces unite to achieve the goal of ending the revolution. At the moment, however, those scenarios are not yet possible (thankfully), but they could be created in the short term,”says Roberto Lopez, a journalist in Caracas.
