“As long as Tel Aviv has the compliant ear of the American political establishment, those who wish for peace and justice in the world should not rest easy,” wrote Falk.
In the past, Falk has been target of vicious campaign by the US Jewish lobby groups for his criticizm of the 9/11 “official story” and Israel’s ethnic cleansing of the native Palestinians. Falk also blamed Israel and its lobby being behind the destruction of Libya in the past.
B’nai B’rith International called for Falk’s removal from the Human Rights Council, saying that his “latest string of inflammatory remarks – whether it be on the Internet or in one of his ‘reports’ to the council – has no place in the United Nations and his continued presence at the UNHRC further undermines the credibility of the system”. However, Falk continues to challenge the Israel lobby groups as he represents the UN Human Rights Council as he is not answerable to UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, an American proxy at the world forum.
