The Vatican has a long history of “love and hatred”. Many anti-Catholic Jews have accused Pope Pius XII (1939-1958) for not doing much to stop Jewish ethnic-cleansing by Nazis. John Cromwell in book “Hitler’s Pope”, called Pope Pius XII an antisemite while Robert Wistrich argued he was anti-Jewish for believing in Biblical accusation that Jewish elites were behind the crucification of Christ. Former Zionist prime minister Golda Meir was quoted as praising the Pope Pius XII for saving many Jews. However, Rabbi Wolf Gunther Plaut (died 2012) claims in his 1990 book, ‘The Man Who Would Be Messiah’ that Frankist Jews indeed committed the Jewish Holocaust under Nazis.

Many Zionist scholars credit Pope John XXIII (1958-63), who succeeded Pope Pius XII, for fostering Vatican-Jewish close relationship. He was followed by Pope Paul VI (1963-78) as head of the Catholic Church. John Hubbard in October 31, 2011 article had claimed Pope Paul VI to be an imposter who was photographed many times wearing the breast-plate of a Jewish high priest, consisting of twelve stonea representing twelve Israelite tribes.

On his death, Pope Paul VI was succeeded by Pope John Paul II (1978-2005). He was allegedly born to a Polish Jewish mother Emilia Katz. He was praised by Jewish leaders all over the world for trying his best to bring Vatican’s policy inline with Israel’s policy toward Palestinians and the Muslim world.

Pope John Paul II was succeeded by Pope Benedict XVI (2005-2013), who was called “Nazi Pope” by the Jewish websites. He became the first Pope to resign during last 600 years, on February 28, 2013. Pope Benedict XVI became the darling of the Zionist-controlled media for being the most anti-Muslim head of the Catholic Church in modern history. American Catholic writer and blogger, Joanna Francis, called Pope Benedic XVI Zionist Double Agent for Benedict’s blind support for the Zionist entity.

Pope Benedict XVI in his book entitled Jesus of Nazareth-Part II - has exonerated Jews for Jesus’ death. “There is no basis in Scripture for the argument that the Jewish people as a whole were responsible for Jesus’ death,” wrote the Pope. On his decision to retire under financial scandal – Israeli Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger issued a statement showering praise for the Pope. “During his period there were the best relations ever between the church and the chief rabbinate and we hope that this trend will continue. I think he deserves a lot of credit for advancing inter-religious links the world over between Jews and Christians”. Metzger also wished Benedict “good health and long days”, Reuters reported.

Last year, Vatican criticised Canadian Bishop Bernard Felley of Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) for declaring that Jews were enemies of Catholic Church.

In March 2013, pro-Jewish Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, sat on St. Peter’s throne and took the name Pope Francis I. Jewish groups in the US, Canada, Europe, and Latin America hailed the appointment of the new Pope – calling him friend of Jews and Israel.

Rabbi David Rosen, former Chief Rabbi of Ireland and currently a director of American Jewish Congress, visited Vatican and met with Fr. Federico Lombardi, director of the Holy See Press Office in March 2013. In an interview published in ZENIT (March 21, 2013), Rosen said: “Those “vaticanisti” who said that Vatican focus on relations with the Jews would diminish after Benedict XVI, and after John Paul II, and that we would have a Pope who won’t have any particularly interest in this area have all been wrong. We can anticipate with confidence that the Jewish-Catholic relationship will be an important focus of this pontificate. You know, also today at the private audience, Pope Francis emphasized in his words a special commitment to the Jewish-Catholic relationship and yesterday when he spoke at his inauguration Mass he welcomed “the Jewish representatives and representatives of other religions” so we were the only representatives beside the other Christian groups he mentioned by name. So we can expect a deepening even further of the relationship between the Catholic Church and the Jewish People and Israel“.

Zionist president Shimon Peres became the first world leader to invite Pope Francis I to Israel. Israeli leaders hope that Pope Franicis I will use his influence over Argentinian president Cristina Kirchner to implicate Iran in terrorist attacks on Jewish-Israeli buildings in Buenos Aires, conducted by Israeli Mossad.
