US secretary of state, Israel-Firster John Kerry held talks with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and Russin president Vladmir Putin in Moscow on May 7, 2013. John Kerry agreed with his Russian counterpart that political dialogue between Syrian government and the Western-supported rebels is the only way to resolve the over 2-year-old bloodshed. Both agreed to call an international conference before the end of this month – to be attended by representatives of Syrian government and the various anti-Assad rebel groups. The said conference is meant to revive the so-called “Geneva communique” penned by the five permanent members of the United Nations (the US, Britain, France, Russia and China) and the rebel leaders appointed by the US, Turkey, Israel and Saudi Arabia. The Geneva communique called for a transitional government in Damascus under Bashar al-Assad presidency.
It will be naive to expect the powerful Jewish lobby groups would allow Obama administeration to abide by Kerry’s promise. They want a Syria without pro-Resistance Assad regime. Israeli daily, The Times of Israel has reported John Kerry told a Jewish delegate that Washington see no role for Assad in the new regime in Damascus. Turkey and Israel has already called for imposing no-fly zone over Syria.

Gen. James N. Mattis, former CENTCOM commander was against arming the rebels. Others in the Pentagon with the most experience in the Middle East were also skeptical about some new military operation in the region demanded by Israel lobby groups. “With regard to the Israeli strikes on Syria, the Israeli enemy is seeking to achieve its aims, one of which is to exclude and eliminate it as a factor within the ongoing resistance against Israel. Israel knows that the source of strength of the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine is Syria. That is why it wants to remove it from the resistance front,” Nasrallah pointed out. Hizbullah has some of its fighters inside Syria to protect Shia communities from the Wahabi/Salaafi terrorists.
Iranian press has claimed that some officers belonging to Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are training Syrian army units fighting the US-Israel-Turkey trained and armed rebels.
British Zionist prime minister David Cameron (with Jewish family roots) held 3-hour meeting with Russian president Vladmir Putin at Putin’s villa in Sochi. Cameron tried his best to bring Putin into the anti-Assad camp.
