Israel shot its own foot; Again!

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it,” Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s Crypto-Jew propaganda minister, who had Jewish family roots.

Last month, Israel’s Air Force claimed it shot-down an unmanned aircraft off the coast of Haifa. Tel Aviv claimed the UAV belonged to either Lebanese Islamic resistance group Hizbullah or Iran. Zionist prime minister Netanyahu warned both Hizbullah and Iran, by saying: “I view with utmost gravity this attempt to violate our border. We will continue to do everthing necessary to safeguard the security of Israel’s citizen“.

On May 11, 2013 – Israeli daily YNet reported that Israeli Airforce shot-down one of its largest and most advanced Shoval-type drone while on routine spying mission over Sea (read Lebanon or Syria) due to engine malfunctioning on Saturday. IAF helicopters tried to salvage its remains in the Sea between Tel Aviv and Netanya.

Israeli blogger, Richard Silverstein, claimed on May 11 that there was no malfunction. Rather an unknown “hostile” force (Hizbullah or Iran) exploited a breach in the navigation system and took control of the UAV. Once the drone became unresponsive, IAF realized it could either be crashed into a sensitive Israeli target or else hijacked to Lebanon or Syria. At that point, the IAF, launched flares over Israeli territory in a search to find it. They must have succeeded, which enabled them to destroy it. Since this incident, IAF has grounded its entire Shoval flee untill control system is revised.

Tehran, Damascus and Hizbullah has rejected Israeli claim that the UAV was sent over Israel by either of them. Hizbullah said it wished it had been theirs. In October 2012, Iranian Defence Minister General Ahmad Vahidi had congratulated Hizbullah for the success of its drone’s mission over Israel, adding that Hizballah had a right to conduct the mission, based on repeated violations of Lebanese airspace by Israeli warplanes. Mocking Israel’s much-touted Iron Dome anti-missile defence system, which was developed and donated by the US in order to target unidentified short-range rockets, he said the Hizballuh drone penetration shows the system “doesn’t work and lacks the necessary capability”.

Last week, Iran unveiled Hemaseh, country’s most advanced home-made Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).

Iran has mastered UAV-jammimg technology. In December 2011, Iranian airforce downed a US-built RQ-170 Sentinel stealth aircraft after it crossed into Iran’s airspace over the border with neighboring Afghanistan.
