On May 25, 2013, Lebanese of different faiths celebrated 13th anniversary of the Liberation Day (a national holiday) – in the memory of the retreat of the Jewish army and defeat of its Lebanese Christian proxy, Philangist terrorists, in May 2000.

In his Liberation Day address to the Lebanese nation, Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said: “Syria is the backbone of resistance (against all enemies of Lebanon) and resistance cannot sit idly by while its backbone is being broken“. He also added: “I say to all honoable people, to the Mujahideen to the heroes: I have always promised you a victory (in 2000 and 2006) and now I pledged to you a new one in Syria“. Watch video of Nasrallah’s entire speech below.

Nasrallah warned Lebanese that Takfris (pro-Israel Wahabis and Salafis) are behind the bloodshed in Syria for the last two years. And once they succeed in Syria, they would turn their terror on Lebanon. These insurgents are part of American plan to eradicate all resistance to Israeli occupation in the region.

Nasrallah said he doesn’t support Assad regime’s all policies which needed some reforms – but changes could be brought only by political dialogue and not by a military terrorism.

“The events in the last couple of years have proved that there is an axis lead by the United States while the rest are working under its orders. Everyone knows this axis is supported by Israel while al-Qaida and other Takfiri organizations from around the world were paid to take part in it,” Nasrallah explained.

The only reason Bashar al-Assad regime being targeted is its support for Hizbullah, and various Palestinian groups fighting Jewish occupation of their lands. Amal Saad-Ghorayeb, a Lebanese academic and nationalist, wrote on her blog yesterday: “If it were not for the Assad regime’s military and political support for the resistance there would be no Resistance and Liberation Day to celebrate in Lebanon on May 25. And had not been for this support, there would be no war on Syria no, nor would Hizbullah have been compelled to militarily intervene there to help Syria to liberate its territory from the enemies of our resistance cause. The war on Syria has never merely targeted Syria, but the ‘Resistance Axis’ as a whole and the resistance project (against the Zionist entity) in the region“. She also claimed that Syrian uprising is in reality a Zionist uprising against Assad regime.

It’s reported that nearly 150 Hizbullah fighters are helping Syrian forces to flush-out pro-Israel Salafi terrorists from Qusayr – a strategic town adjacent to Hizbullah stronghold in Lebanon and foreign arms supply route to the rebels.

In response to Nasrallah’s speech, pro-Israel Takfirs launch a rocket attack on Beirut’s southern suburb early Sunday morning, injuring five people near Mar Mikhael church. Lebanese Christian president, Michel Suleiman condemned the attack calling it an act of terrorism by the enemies who don’t want peace and stability for the country and its people.

US-Israel and its collaborators have been trying their best to suck Hizbullah into the Syrian pit on behalf of the Zionist entity. The fall of Assad regime, according to US Senate sources would be a severe blow and challenge to Iran’s rising influence in the region and Iran’s leadership of the increasing regional and global resistance to the Zionist occupiers of Palestine in favor of the full right to return of every ethnically cleansed Palestinian refugee.

Hizbullah is the only Arab militia which inflicted military defeat on the Jewish army in 2000 and 2006.
