Israel: Iran’s new President is not ‘moderate enough’!

Islamic Republic’s President-elect Hujat-ul-Islam Hassan Rouhani has been declared “moderate” by the western capitals. They depicted both the Spiritual Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenie and country’s most popular non-cleric President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fanatics for the last 8 years. Rouhani is “moderate” because he was endorsed by West’s two anti-Ahmadinejad favourite reformists, former Presidents Khatami and Hashemi Rafsanjani. Ironically, Rouhani has served as Khamenei’s representative at Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) during Ahmadinejad’s eight-year presidency.

As the last 65 year US-Israel marriage history shows, Israeli leaders have never been faithful to their “Guardian Angel” at the White House. A few hours before Rouhani was declared President-elect, Zionist defense minister Moshe Ya’alon told his paranoid Americans-Jewish audience at Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) that “nothing has changed following the election in Iran“.

The “changes” Israeli leaders are looking for, include; stop aiding Hizbullah and Hamas, roll-back nuclear program and recognize Jewish occupation of Palestine – none of which could be delivered by Rouhani or any future Iranian President.

The President-elect, who declared his election victory as “victory of moderation over extremism”, told London-based Saudi-owned Asharq Al-Awsat that US-Iran conflict is “being fueled and directed first and foremost by Israel in order to divert international attention not only from its own clandestine and dangerous nuclear weapons programs but also from its destablizing and inhuman policies and practices in Palestine and the Middle East“. He stressed that Iran has every right to pursue its nuclear program as permitted by NPT. He also said that it’s the western powers P5+1 which have to be honest in negotiation with the Islamic Republic – and lifting of illegal sanctions.

Personally, I think, Hassan Rouhani is dreaming as the powerful Jewish lobby groups in the US, UK, France and Germany (members of P5+1) will never let US administration compromise with Iranian position on equal basis. For example, Congress just passed the National Defense Authorization Act, which makes it compulsory for the US to join an Israeli war against a country which the Zionist regime claims an “existential threat”.

Former Israeli foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, a radical Zionist Jew, who resigned to face corruption charges – has bet million shekel by claiming that Iran’s President-elect is “sophisticated” but not “moderate”!

Hassan Rouhani in his first news conference in Tehran after his victory on Monday said that Israel is the main culprit behind US-Iran conflict. He stressed that Israel gains from the conflict as it diverts world community’s attention from Israel’s nuclear arsenal and Israel-Palestinian conflict.

“The Iranian nation has done nothing to deserve sanctions. The work it has done has been within international framework. If sanctions have any benefits, they will only benefit the Zionist entity. They have no benefits for others,” said Rouhani.

Rouhani said that he will try to build trust among Iran’s neighbors and western nations – but he emphasized that Iran would never suspend its nuclear program under his presidency.

“The era of suspension is gone and now we are in such special conditions that I do believe we have abundant ways to build (each other’s) confidence,” he said.

On Syrian conflict, Rouhani said that he is committed to Ahmadinejad’s policy of no foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs.

“Syria’s people are in charge of resolving the Syrian crisis and the Syrian nation is the final decision-maker in Syria who determines the fate of that country,” said Rouhani.

I wonder if Rouhani will act upon Israeli claim that Iran is sending 4,000 soldiers to defend Assad regime, or ignore it as another Zionist propaganda lie against Assad regime. In a recent interview, former French foreign minister Roland Dumes, has claimed Israel had conceived a plan to destroy Syria two years before the so-called “Arab Spring”, a term coined by the western imperialists.
