How ironic! Israel and its western poodles have been pushing European Union (EU) to declare Lebanese Islamic Resistance Hizbullah as terrorist organization for years. But on Tuesday, the EU, caught the Zionist regime off guard with its new Jewish settlement guidelines.
The new guidelines state that any private Israeli entity that wants to receive funding must prove that it doesn’t have any link with illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem or the Golan Heights.
This requirement is a complete EU endorsement of the Obama administration and Palestinian demands that borders of the future Palestinian state be based on the pre-1967 borders. The Zionist regime condemned EU decision on Tuesday. Israel’s deputy foreign minister Zeev Elkin called the EU decision a “very significant and worrying”.
“It certainly doesn’t add to the atmosphere of peace talks. On the contrary, it fuels the Palestinian refusal to return to negotiation table,” said Elkin.
Zionist prime minister Netanyahu told EU to mind its own business. “I will not let anybody harm Israelis (settlers) living in Judea and Samaria, the Golan and Jerusalem. We will not accept any external dictates regarding borders,” he said on July 16.
Netanyahu added the EU should focus on Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons program and Syria’s civil war instead of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

A spokesman for the European delegation in Tel Aviv said a “territorial applicability clause” will feature in agreements between Israel and the EU from 2014. “Israeli entities situated in the Golan Heights, the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem will not be eligible for EU funding,” he said.
Herb Keinon, a political analyst with the Jerusalem Post believes that the new EU guidelines are the first concrete implementation of what some may have thought was just abstract policy after the constant drumbeat of pronouncements coming from Europe defeaned Israel to the anti-settlement mood.
The EU provide millions of dollars in aid annually to various NGOs working inside Israel and the West Bank. However, most of works carried out by non-Israeli NGOs in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, were later destroyed by Jewish army.
According to a 2012 EU report, in 1967 there were between 200,000 and 320,000 Palestinians in the Jordan Valley, most of which lies in Area C, but that just 56,000 live there today. On the other hand, the Jewish population has grown from 1,200 to 310,000 over the same period. It also noted that Jewish settlers farms use “most of the water resources in the area” to grow export crops. Meanwhile, Palestinians get access to just 25 percent of available water at higher prices, limiting them to “low intensity agriculture.”
NGOs operating inside Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are not entitled for EU funding as under pressure from the US and Israel, it put Hamas on its terrorist list in 2007.
