On Friday, renowned religious scholar and author, Reza Aslan Ph.D was interviewed by FoxNews’s religious expert, Lauren Green. She could not believe that Aslan being a Muslim, has the necessary credentials to author a book on Christianity, ‘Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth’. Watch a video below to enjoy Ms Green’s bigotry and ignorance of Jesus and Islam.

To begin with, Green wanted to know why Aslan wrote a book about the “founder of Christianity”. Frankly, Aslan could have answered the question by narrating historical fact; Christianity was established by St. Paul and not by prophet Jesus (as). Jesus’ 70 Hebrew disciples used to call themselves “Nazarenes”. And according to Jewish scholar, Benjamin Freedman, Jesus was not a Jew.

Then Green pressed Aslan to know why a Muslim would be interested in Islam? Aslan failed to educate Green and other FoxNews’ favorite bigots like John Dickerson, Pamela Geller and Frank Gaffney that every Muslim is interested not only in Jesus, but all the other biblical prophets – because Holy Qur’an calls all of them Muslims (believer in One Allah). Moreover, Holy Qur’an has dedicated an entire chapter (Surah Mariyam) to Saint Mary and her son Jesus. Contrary to that, none of the 27 books of the New Testament is named after Jesus or Mary, while Geller’s holy Talmud call Jesus “a bastard” and his mother Mary “a whore”. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has called both Jesus and Moses “my cousins”.

Holy Qur’an, revealed 610 years after the disappearance of prophet Jesus, addresses him “Isa son of Mariyam”. In the Arab world, even today, Christian are called “Nasara” and Jews “Yahud”.

The Catholic Church was not established by Jesus or St. Peter, but pagan Roman Emperor Constantine in 313 CE.

At the end of the interview, Aslan pointed out that many Christian academic have written about Islam. He should have mentioned Michael Hart Ph.D, who in his 1978 book ‘The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History’, put the Prophet of Islam on the top of the list over his Lord Christ.

Iranian-born Professor Reza Aslan (University of California) was educated at Harvard, where he was elected president of Harvard’s chapter of the World Conference on Religion and Peace, a UN organisation committed to global understanding.
