On Friday, Lebanese Christian President Michel Suleiman blamed the Zionist regime for the deadly car bombing in the Southern suburb of Beirut on August 15, which killed 21 and injured more than 250 people.
“This a criminal act that bears the fingerprints of terrorism and Israel, and is aimed to destablize Lebanon and deal a blow to the resilience of the Lebanese,” said Suleiman on Thursday.
Israeli president Shimon Peres, a war criminal, told UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon on Friday that he was shocked to hear that Lebanese president Michel Suleiman accused Israel for the latest Beirut car bombing.
“We have become accustomed to this kind of accusations, they need to be ignored,” Said Gen. Danny Yatom, former head of Mossad, on Army Radio on Friday.
Waddah Charara, former Al-Hayat journalist, said Hizbullah’s arch-enemy the Zionist entity could have been behind the latest car bombing.
“I think the attack is part of a war being waged between Israel and the Shiite movement, that recently brought on the Israeli soldiers’ incursion into Lebanese territory,” Charara said. “The Zionist entity and Hizbullah are currently exchanging explosive messages,” he said.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati declared Friday as national day of mourning.

The deadly blast killed 8 people and injured another 78, mostly Lebanese Christians.
Hizbullah leadership, so far, has not blamed Israel or any of its Takfiri friends fighting Syrian army.
