Israel urges US and EU to back military crackdown in Egypt

“Israel is not only unneccesary and self-made liability for the United States, it is an untreated and spreading cancer on our domestic politics, foreign policy and national security,” professor Michael F. Scheuer (Georgetown University), former CIA analyst, ex-senior Fellow at Jewish Jamestown Foundation (founded by late William W. Geimer) and author. Listen to Scheuer’s talk at Jewish Brookings’ Doha Forum at the end of this post. You may like to visit his blogs here.

So who benefits the most from military coup against Egypt’s democratically elected ex-president Dr. Mohamed Morsi? Israel, of course.

On August 18, 2013, Israeli daily Ha’aretz, quoted a high-ranking Israeli government official saying that Washington’s priority should be to protect the military rule against Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood.

“The name of the game right now is not democracy. The name of the game is that there needs to be a functioning state, and no other than military can run the country under current circumstances,” said the officials.

Several Jewish groups including the powerful Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) have been campaigning for the US and EU to continue military aid to Egypt. “The US-Egyptian relationship is rooted in strategic calculation. It bolsters peace between Egypt and Israel and makes possible broader peace in the region. The US-Egyptian relationship has helped Egypt modernize its military and has added weight to its position as a stabilizing regional force,” claimed CFR study released in May 2002.

Personally, I hate to say it, but the Muslim Brotherhood and the rest of so-called “Islamists” deserved the on-going bloodbath, which according to the White House is being carried out by a “non-coup military” against the Al-Qaeda supporters who hate Israel and the “moderate” Arab regimes.

Muslim Brotherhood (Egypt and Syria), like Jama’at-e-Islami (Pakistan, India and Bangladesh), Ennahda (Tunisia), Istiqlal (Morocco) and Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party, has lost its Islamic revolutionary credentials long time ago. Their leadership have all become “Islamic apologists”. They’re are naive to believe that by sleeping with the western imperialists would put them in power. They seem ignorant of western colonial history. Every Muslim land these colonial powers occupied, they destroyed Muslim culture, history and language. They also ignore the fact that currently all western nations are controlled by the anti-Muslim Zionist mafia.

Dr. Morsi was fool to align himself with the US and its puppet regimes in the region against the anti-colonial axis, Iran, Hizbullah and Syria. Morsi, like Qaddafi and Saddam Hussein paid the price was trusting the enemies of Muslims.
