Belgian Jewish groups have blasted Belgian Education Ministry for one of its KlasCement.be website equating German Jews under Nazi rule with Palestinians under Jewish occupation. It’s part of an exercise for the trainee teachers drawing comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany.

The excercise included a cartoon featuring a Jew impaled on the fence of a Nazi concentration camp next to a Palestinian, their limbs arranged in the form of a Nazi swastika. The caption “never again” appears above the image of the Jew and the words “over again!” written at the Palestinian’s right foot. The cartoon was used as an example and the trainees were asked to identify the cartoon with one of the three quizzes: “Is this a Palestinian fleeing from the Jews? or “Do the Jews want to occupy the entire land of Palestine?” or “ Do the Jews call Palestine Israel?”

The caricature is work of the world-famous pro-Palestine Brazilian artist Carlos Latuff. This was Latuff’s entry at the 2009 Holocaust Conference in Tehran. Latuff’s political caricatures have been posted in the past at several pro-Israel media outlets, such as, Guardian UK (in 2011), Huffington Post (in 2012) and The Sunday Times (2013). Watch some of Latuff’s artwork at a video below.

Pro-Israel lobby groups have long dclared Latuff an ‘antisemite’ even though his political cartoons cover many countries and cultures in addition to exposing Zionist entity’s Zionazi policies.

In 2012, the Jewish lobby group, Simon Wiesenthal Center honored Latuff among the world’s top “10 Jew haters” – after Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and Ahmadinejad regime in Tehran.

In May 2011, the Eurpean Jewish Lobby called for sacking of Belgian Finance Minister, Stefaan De Clerck, for his remark over Holocaust: “Perhaps we should be willing to forget, because it is the past. At some point one has to be adult and be willing to talk about – perhaps to forget, because this is the past”.

The Times of Israel, reported on September 18, that as result of protest by the local organized Jewish groups, the Quiz was removed from the official website.

There are 42,000 Jews among 10.5 million Belgian population. The city of Antwerp is home to largest Jewish community. Last year, its Mayor Patrick Janssens announced the erection of a Holocaust memorial at the City Hall.

Former Israeli ambassador to Belgium (2003-2007), Jehudi Kinar, in an interview with Arab-hating Israeli Dr. Manfred Gerstenfeld (Jerusalem Center for Public affairs, November 9, 2011) said that Belgian government was planning to prosecute Israeli Generals Rafael Eitan, Ariel Sharon and Amos Yaron for committing Palestinian massacre at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in 1982 but dropped the idea after receiving threats from Washington.

“American threats caused the Belgian parliament to change the law. Many parliamentarians wanted to continue prosecuting the Israelis, but ultimately understood that this was legally impossible. Thereafter Israeli-Belgian relations became normal again,” said Kinar.

Washington threatened to transfer of the NATO headquarters from Brussels to Warsaw. Furthermore, the US also told Belgian government that all American military shipments to Antwerp would be diverted to Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
