Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, head of Israel Occupation Force (IOF) told a conference on Monday that Lebanese Islamic resistance “Hizbullah has capabilities that many states don’t have – in terms of scope and strength”.

Gantz was a keynote speaker at Bar-Ilan University’s Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA)’ conference called ‘Israel’s Perils and Prospects’.

“As a result of an Israeli response, Hezbollah could begin firing missile barrages at Galilee communities, and simultaneously, Hezbollah attack cells try to infiltrate the Golan Heights, according to Gantz’s scenario. “If Hezbollah decides to hit a pinpoint target, almost anywhere in Israeli territory, it will know how to do so. Similar barrages will be fired at Eilat by an organization acting in tandem with Hezbollah, or anyone who chooses to ‘join the celebration. Simultaneously, hundreds of Hamas members will make their way to the Erez border crossing or the Northern Gaza Brigade. Does this sound imaginary? I don’t think so,” Gantz said, posted on the BESA website on October 9, 2013.

“In Lebanon today, there are homes in which there are guesthouses alongside missile houses. This is a clear intelligence reality,” he added.

Gantz concluded his speech by saying: “I’m telling you about a day of war in the life of a future chief of staff, but actually, this could be the morning I wake up to myself as chief of staff tomorrow.”

The Zionist regime and its puppets in the US, Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Netherlands and several other countries have been trying their best to get Hizbullah lebeled as a “terrorist” organization. The US, Canada, Israel, Netherlands has done that while both Britain and European Union has declared only the military wing of Hizbullah as “terrorist” organization.

Hizbullah is the only Arab militia which defeated Israeli army in 2006.

Shir Hever, an economic researcher in Jerusalem has called EU decision to enlist Hizbullah as “terrorist” organization as “hypocritical” - for not taking a similar decision on Israel, which is the greatest terrorist state in the region. He also said that Hizbullah is very popular in Lebanon as it successfully defeated IOF in the 2000 and 2006. Hever says that Hizbullah has become the real defender of Lebanon from Israel and therefore, declaring Hizbullah a “terrorist” organization, means that they’re calling Lebanon’s Armed Forces “terrorist” organization.
