Was Jesus Christ ‘Invented’?

I must admit, my Christian study, got shaky recently. First I was surprised to find out that one of America’s leading Islamophobes, Bill O’Reilly, in his new book Killing Jesus: A History, has claimed that Mel Gibson was right - Jews did kill Jesus Christ. It’s reported that Abraham Foxman, Israel’s top Jewish defender, got very offended by such statement coming from an Israel-Firster Muslim-basher CNN talkshow host. Abbe Foxman, reportedly, asked O’Reilly to apologize for the antisemitic statement – but O’Reilly refused to go against his Bible as did Rev. Pat Robertson in 2002 for saying that the prophesized Anti-Christ will be Jewish.

Now, American biblical scholar Joseph Atwill along with other atheist Zionist big guns like Kenneth Humphreys and John Hudson will be speaking at London’s Conway Hall on October 19, 2013, to prove Jesus Christ never existed. Atwill is the author of book ‘Caesar’s Messiah: The Roman Conspiracy to Invent Jesus’. Humphreys is the author of 2005 book ‘Jesus Never Existed’.

Atwill asserts that Christianity did not really begin as a religion, but a sophisticated government project, a kind of propaganda exercise used to pacify the subjects of the Roman Empire. “Jewish sects in Palestine at the time, who were waiting for a prophesied warrior Messiah, were a constant source of violent insurrection during the first century,” he explains. “When the Romans had exhausted conventional means of quashing rebellion, they switched to psychological warfare. They surmised that the way to stop the spread of zealous Jewish missionary activity was to create a competing belief system. That’s when the ‘peaceful’ Messiah story was invented. Instead of inspiring warfare, this Messiah urged turn-the-other-cheek pacifism and encouraged Jews to ‘give onto Caesar’ and pay their taxes to Rome.”

Was Jesus based on a real person from history? “The short answer is NO,” Atwill insists, “in fact he may be the only fictional character in literature whose entire life story can be traced to other sources. Once those sources are all laid bare, there’s simply nothing left.”

Kenneth Humphreys claims that no person by the name Jesus existed in Roman occupied Palestine – and the Gospels are myths created by some interested people.

American writer and blogger, John Kaminski, asked the ‘Six Million Dollar’ question to such writers: “Were both Christians and Muslims created as punching bags for clandestine Jewish rule?”

“The question that still dogs us down through the ages is this. Is the research of Atwill and Carotta just more of the same Jewish attempt to subvert the Catholic church and the true Christian faith for the purpose of denigrating and subverting the admirable messages of Jesus that so many people base their lives upon? Or, is it really true that some nefariously clever group of clandestine operatives created this divine mythos to keep us in mental chains and therefore more controllable?,” says Kaminski.

World’s 1.7 billion Muslims believe existence of Jesus Christ in Palestine as a divine reality. They also believe that Romans and the Israelite elites did not succeed in killing prophet Jesus as he was raised to Heaven alive, according to Holy Qur’an.

On January 10, 2009, I posted an article describing what Jews, Christians and Muslims think of Jesus Christ. Read it here.
