There would be billions of Earth-like planets in the universe can be. According to Dr Alan Boss of the Carnegie Institute of Science is the mogeiljk that these worlds are inhabited by simple forms of life. He made his statements at the annual cogres of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Sunday in Chicago. That reports the BBC.
Until now, telescopes around three hundred planets discovered outside our solar system. Most are not capable of hosting life. They consist of gas, like Jupiter, or stand so close to stars that every form of life was directly burn.
But given the small number of planets so far discovered, dear dr Boss that every star that is similar to the sun, an average of one in earth-like planet in the neighborhood should have. According to this simple calculation, there are large quantities of planets where organisms can survive.
Yet we do not expect soon to another planet to move: "These planets are not habitable, they will also be occupied, probably because things three to four billion years ago lived on earth," says Boss. Bacteria, then.
