LEIPZIG - Scientists are of Neanderthal DNA to that of humans and chimpanzees compared.

They rely on material from a bone that is 30,000 years old. Until that time, Neanderthals lived in Europe and Asia.
The material was found in 1856, three years before Darwin On the Origin of Species published.
