The Voice of God.

I ran across a bumper sticker the other day that actually stopped me in my tracks. It went like this:

"Why is it when we talk to God were praying but when God talks to us were neurotic?"

Now personally I've never considered myself neurotic, though I'm sure I have many family members and friends that would rise to argue the contrary, And yet I hear the voice of God everyday.

When I wake each morning and start to prepare for the day I hear God whispering, "I've given you another day my child." And as I head out the door to go to work again God says, "I've provided for you a good job and good people to work with." When I sit to eat the voice of God reminds me, "I shall not let you hunger this day." Ok, I think you get my point here. God speaks to each and every one of us throughout the day and for all our lives.

Gods voice is always present in the laughter of children, the beauty of a sunrise, the smile of a friend and in the gentle breathing of that someone you love as they sleep beside you. It can be heard in every flower and in every song.

It can even be heard in the problems and disasters that come our way, Saying, "I love you enough to make you grow, Even in ways you may not want to."

If you can't hear the voice of God, its not that the voice isn't there...its because you, my friend, are not listening.

Mr Wupy

what do you say to the children, parents, people the world over who face persecution, starvation, war and bombs, no medical care - and they pray every day but still face this persecution and lack

Yes we know that God makes a way- for many years persecuted people have prayed the world over despite never hearing the voice of God answering them, or feeding them or clothing them.

Sometimes its very hard to understand the 'will' of God when one is a starve 10 year old, or month old baby.

no matter how hard the mother prays, her baby still hungers and dies.

so please write about that.

its wonderful that your life is so good and how much God has blessed you -

Please write about this kind of suffering in war and life and how people can hear the voice of God with these 'distractions' . Because they are not distractions, they are their realities.

there is a native saying - A hungry man makes a short prayer.

maybe telling someone through your own agony and deprivation you learned to hear the voice of God will give them the 'inspiration' too, not just what they dont have

You see, many people who face that today, may want to know, especially if they feel God rejected them

many people today maybe worried about war in the near future and their fear is talking loud to them inside.

what about the kids on the street? the kids in school and facing drugs, gangs and all else during these days when it seems the world has lost its humanity

talk about hearing the voice of God during the times people are really going to need it

there was one man who did exactly that ...his name was David Wilkerson...he inspired those to hear the voice of God by loving their hearts as they were.

he went to those areas filled with violence and hunger, pain and drugs .....as a matter of fact he's still in those areas.

Mr Wupy please keep writing .......

Hi,

Hearing God's voice is something we all long for-but did you know that it's not hard to do? In fact, God wants you to hear His voice! He doesn't speak to us through a quiver in our liver or through vibes or mediums. Hearing the voice of God is as natural as hearing your best friend talk to you. What's more, we can hear Him everyday and not just on special occasions or by chanting special incantations. He speaks to us in the natural moments of life.

Hi yes very true its the natural moments in life -- as well as when are afraid, sick, etc. but rather than a voice -- it may be more a conveyance felt and understood by the power of the Holy Spirit-- People in indegenous countries all over the world know of this --

To hear the voice of God is one thing... knowing one has made the Creator happy is the way to live...

Hi Ridhi!! nice comment and welcome to the forum!
