The sun holds incredible power, within it are vast of energies, which not only flows but is raging and waiting to be discovered for the benefits of mankind. It helps us evolve as creatures in this universe.

The best way to fully utilize the sun is through sungazing. The sungazing is a practice that uses the sun as the main object to be stared at in order to receive nourishment or energy from the sun, either for complement or to replace food or as a spiritual practice.

The HRM phenomenon is a much known practice of sungazing. The sungazer himself, Hira Ratan Manek (HRM) has practice sungazing and had proven that a person can survived for a very long period without eating foods. He submitted himself to NASA for scientific monitoring to prove the veracity of his claim. NASA reported that he was able to survive for extended periods solely on light and occasional beverage, water and buttermilk

The sun holds implausible power for those who want to have it. And for us, people who are willing and patient enough to wait, willing to undergo transformation in our view of existence and how we currently live our lives. There are so many possibilities the sun can offer for our good. Light is the basic nutrient of all life; how we consume, metabolize and apprehend this light can help us evolve. Pure motivation coupled with awareness, attention and moderation; can in turn enable us to access every level of our energy, making us reach greater new heights personally and spiritually.

I practiced this a couple of summers ago. I felt compelled to look directly at the sun for many hours per day. Our summers up here are pretty short but I spent most days of the week at the shore, taking full sun to my skin and eyes. I breathed it in and asked its rays to penetrate straight through my being.

This past summer was rainy and I had too much to do that prevented me from partaking in this again on the days that would have provided sufficient sunshine. Also, somehow, the sun was different this year. It was distant and "unfriendly" by comparison.

I look forward to our friendly sun's return. Particularly now, with winter looming large in front of us. :(

It's nice to have another sungazer here! I also gaze at the sun, hence the name SUNGAZER.

I also noticed that the sun was somehow different this year, but I stared at it for the majority of the summer. I found it hard to get a hold, but once I did, it was more incredible than ever before. I began to see things (while not staring) that I have never seen before, super strength, etc. And, even though I haven't stared at it for a couple months now, I am still experiencing some of those effects. My muscles are stronger, without taking the 'usual' methods for strengthening, ie. weightlifting/excess use. My 'sight' is much better, not only in the 'reality' we experience as normal life, but I can also see more 'spirits' if you will. I see more into other dimensions, i believe.

I'm pretty sure, it's because of my gazing this summer, that I am starting to 'separate' from 'reality'. I think I'm starting to connect with the 'real' reality that not many can see.

So, even though you see the sun currently as "unfriendly", I would say it's worth a shot to look anyway. I'm glad I did. I think it's just 'stronger' somehow.

Right, that's how it was for me in summer 2010. I also felt the things you describe and a few more. This year, 2011, was different though. It definitely wasn't as strong. It held me at a distance; it was neither welcoming nor engaging as it was so clearly before.

At any rate, I'm in northern Europe and the sun isn't really visible much at this time of year already. It barely reaches the tops of the buildings. It will be increasingly hidden for the winter when we are immersed in darkness for some 19 hours per day. If there are no clouds, and there almost always are, we may be able to glimpse the sun briefly, provided we can be outdoors at that time.

Change is the only constant in the universe. What is true now is not necessarily true a moment from now. Enjoy your relationship with the sun while you can. It may not be so next year or in ten minutes or ever again, or then it may always be so but something else will change.

Whatever calls to you is what you need to acknowledge. Allow change to happen.

You're absolutely right. This year was a good year for what was calling to me. And, who knows what may happen at any given time. Change IS inevitable, and we must accept it, absolutely. To fight change is to fight the flow of life itself. I get that.

Maybe next summer will prove to be a better year for sungazing, we'll just have to wait and see.

My take on the sun seeming brighter white than it has been in the past (or so I've noticed), is that it may well be resonating at a much higher frequency and therefore giving a much different feeling. But, that's just my opinion. Just one of many thoughts I have on the subject. There are definitely changes happening now and many more coming, the sun is just one of them. I for one, accept these changes without fear.

It's my feeling that as long as a thing has work to do in/with you, it will be relevant. In this case, my sungazing was necessary to continue the healing process I had undertaken some time prior, and it fit then. It was not anymore necessary and perhaps it was therefore no longer relevant to my healing, and the result was that the sun appeared *to me* to be distant and unwelcoming.

Any healing method or modality has to be implemented at the relevant time, for the relevant time period, and no longer. If you feel you must eat apples exclusively, then that is what must be done. If it's a need for huge quantities of coffee, then that is what must be done. If you feel the need to fast, then that too must be done. One must listen to what one's body and one's surroundings tell a person, if for no other reason than to learn to once again be in complete harmony with one's energetic manifestation on this plane, i.e., the body. Messages are everywhere, if we only take time to see them and interpret them accurately.

Meditation in the sun is very energizing. I was told by many people never to do this. I still haven't figured out why that would be so. It's extremely cleansing and freshening. Would you have any idea why this would be a bad thing, generally?

I'm in complete harmony with what you're saying. It makes perfect sense. What works for one may not work for all, and what works at one time, may not work at another. We have available what we need, when we are able to accept it.

As for why people think it's bad to look at the sun, well, that's because we're taught from a young age NOT to look at it and told it's bad and will make us go blind. I never believed that for a second, and I was very spiteful as a child, so I would stare at it anyways, just to PROVE that it is not actually harmful. I've even looked directly at a solar eclipse, and my eyesight is better than 20/20.

Forgive me here while I go into conspiracy mode, as I AM a big conspiracy nut. The main reason I believe we are taught the sun is bad, is because of the 'elite' that control the schools and everything we learn, force that upon us. They do it through the schools as well as through the media. Any form of brainwashing and control they have their hands into, they force what they want on us. They tend to tell us the opposite of what's true most of the time. They said that skin cancer is caused by the sun, so wear sunblock, but really, it's the sunblock that causes the cancer. Well, that combined, i'm sure, with the chemtrails. They also say, don't look directly at the sun, you'll go blind. Of course, people easily believe this because when you look at the sun, you get sunspots on your eyes and they remain there for a good while. So, this MUST mean you're going blind, they think. Not the case at all. In fact, I believe it to be improving vision if anything.

Gazing at the sun is NOT a bad thing. It's GOOD for you. It's also good for you to be in the sun's direct presence as much as possible. We are a much healthier people when we can be out in the sun. That's why society has us trapped with our jobs, unable to get outdoors. Those that say it's bad, are just uninformed, or misinformed. The sheeple who believe everything they hear from the media and school, or other people who have 'learned' from those sources.

Like you said, if it's something your body tells you you need, then you need it. Listen to your body as much as you can, because ALL the answers are there, we just don't hear/see them all the time and most people tend to look elsewhere.

The sun brings life, health, happiness, etc. I for one try to embrace it.

If Nature supplies it, we are best advised to utilize that force before thinking we know better. We cannot nor will we ever. It's obvious that anyone who thinks or says otherwise is delusional, at best. What we have lost is our ability to tune in to what our Self is saying to us, and how to use the cures that Nature supplies us with in abundance.

Don't worry. I'm with you on the conspiracy thing. Oh, the stories I could tell. And I will. I've only just found this forum and it looks like a nice place. I will try to take some time to share what my life has taught me so far. I'm heading toward 50 now so I'm not without some measure of experience, in more areas than is really necessary. lol

The sun is part of us. Deliberately ask it into you when you meet. Look long and deep at it, particularly when you're at higher latitudes and deprived of its glory for a substantial period of the year. It's fantastic for curing headaches too, especially those that hit you right in or behind the eyes.

Looks like we're right on the same page of the incredible novel called 'life'. I tend to go on and on and on when it comes to things that I know must be true and right. My family is really annoyed with me in that way, I even have some avoiding me because of 1 little mention of chemtrails. These people are closed-minded and I can only hope that they can break free and open their eyes from their dream world.

Yes, anything from nature is best. Instinct needs to be followed, and it's much easier to do so without the influence of the nagging radio and tv constantly altering our perceptions.

You've got close to 20 years on me, but, I've got my fair share (probably more) of experiences. 30 years of just about everything imaginable, but not to the extreme. I've always been open to 'frequency' as I like to call it ever since I was a child. Open to the calls of nature, but with no way of getting in 'true' tune with it. I'm working on that now, the sun thing, has helped me along quite a bit. I'm still trying to master other areas as I 'evolve' if you will. Conspiracy, is one of the areas that helps to put the pieces together for me to unravel the true picture and move beyond it.

Although I'm not yet ready to attempt looking directly at the sun, I have been getting outside in the sunlight as much as I can. I feel great, and I've never been so healthy. I haven't caught a cold, or if I have, it's been so minor that it's been almost non-existant. Normally, I catch colds year round. I never knew what the sun really does for us. But, I'm beginning to see.

I for one am too afraid to stare at the sun, it hurts my eyes and I don't think I'm ready for it yet. Maybe one day I'll give it a chance but for now I do not stare Sun.

It is truly a divine practice. I meditate alot and practice Qi-gong and sun gazing felt natural and right from the start. I am a new gazer, only 3 weeks and I am gazing 3 min at a time but, want more :D Coming from spiritual practice (cultivation) it is easy to see Sun gazing as a gradual process. I am naturally grateful for the Sun, appreciative of the Sun, and falling in love with the Sun :D
This outlook (perspective) is the key to solar gazing I think, the mind's intention is the strongest factor. Make yourself an instrument to receive because the Sun always unconditionally gives! It is so powerful but, some sunrises and sunsets it will be just perfect deep gold and easier to stare at. Start slow and there is no pressure to increase the time you gaze! It is all about personal transformation here :D

And when it feels right, it should be considered right. I trust that it is the intention that makes it either safe or harmful. And I for one, will continue in my sungazing practices. I never time how long i stare at the sun, I just go with what i feel i need at the time.

Yes, it is absolutely the intentions that make the difference, as pointed out in my channeling on sungazing:
https://unhypnotize.com/sungazing/83692-sungazing-determining-whether-not-right-choice-you.html

Sungazing can be harmful, but only if the proper intentions (and beliefs) are not there in the first place. I have found that those who are "true" sungazers (those that gaze properly) are much more at peace within themselves. Those that are not "true" sungazers, will come across the opposite effect.

My eyes always have been sensitive to light, too much light in my eyes don't want to stay open. So me becoming a Sungazer will be an extremely daunting task. However I will attempt some Sungazing this summer whenever I get the chance.

Just make sure you keep with the right intentions, Denise. And if it doesn't feel right, then don't do it.

Oh I believe my intentions are good. I just have to take my time to adjust to the brightness of the sun. I will post back any of my results on this thread.
