IT'S been a big year in the world of video gaming.

Sales may not have been quite as robust as last year, but blockbuster titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops and Gran Turismo 5 still managed to keep cash registers humming.

2010 also saw the PS3 and Xbox 360 throw down the gauntlet to the market-leading Nintendo Wii in a big way.

The arrival of Microsoft's ground-breaking Kinect gesture-recognition games controller and Sony's PlayStation Move have changed the game, opening up new and exciting ways to play.
