Google Augmented Reality Glasses

Check this out!

"Today, Google is revealing that it is taking concrete steps towards that vision with ProjectGlass, an augmented reality system that will give users the full range of activities performed with a smart phone — without the smart phone. Instead, you wear some sort of geeky prosthetic (one of those pictured is reminiscent of the visor that Geordi La Forge wore on “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” but Google has also been experimenting with a version that piggybacks on regular spectacles.)"

People don't already look like zombies walking around staring at their cell phones now everyone will be walking around staring at their glasses... I don't think this will catch on!

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, I will not wear them. I'd rather have a device in my hand that I can use than put away not something I wear on my face all day long. The next step is implants watch for! They're just getting used to having technology as close as possible being part of the human body.

You mean like this:

...yet exactly what I thought of when I first seen it as well!

Kinda creepy isn't it, every teenagers Will be wearing one of those within five years... you watch, and we will be the old people sitting there shaking our heads, like I our parents did to us with cell phones.

Yep, that's the one! Just look at the design, looks like it to me.

Ya Rabbit, I'm sure it'll be big with the kids, of course unless we stop it now.

You KNOW if it was an apple product it'd be huge right now. put "i" infront of ANYTHING and people will kill to get it, they're so brainwashed.

I think that's the idea, Monkey. It shows what potentially COULD happen with these Google Augmented Reality glasses. Scary thought isn't it?

That picture shows to me exactly why NOT to EVER get a pair of these things. I think they're gonna use them to take us over.

This statement just makes me think of the episode of Doctor Who with the start of the Cybermen here on Earth. All the people walking around with those implants in their ears which stream in news and the daily joke and they even download the latest ANYTHING to the people. And while they are getting their download, they all stop, like friggin robots.

"Doctor Who" Rise of the Cybermen (TV episode 2006) - IMDb

Great episode to show, yet again, what devices like this are REALLY designed for.

One word: Disturbing.

I honestly thought this was a joke when I first read this back in April.

It's not that I'm against technological advances, is just that I'm against how things like this alter our brainwaves, our frequencies, and that alteration is not necessarily for the better.
