    UK want block specific search terms from search engines

    I came across this article today while searching Google.

    This shows that the UK government has absolutely no idea how the Internet works, considering they think the Internet is only search engines. Banning certain search terms from search engines only ban them from the search engines. The Internet is made up billions of websites, targeting the major ones will just push people to the smaller ones.

    What they don't realize is their only blocking the search engines, if these people want this kind of stuff bad enough they'll find underground sites they don't need to use Google. Google is only one website is NOT what the Internet is. If people can't find what they want from Google or Bing they will stop using it and the censorship fails.

    And another thing, if you are researching this topic for an article for perhaps a school essay and it is censored from the Internet where do you get new and fresh information from? This will make the search engines useless as a research tool, which is its purpose in the first place. What's next burning books?

    Censorship will never the answer to solve this kind of problem, once we start allowing the censor of one thing they will just keep pushing for more. It may also be possible the elite are trying to cover up their ties with pedophilia?

    Article is here:
    UK's PM wants to ban child abuse search terms, but would that even work?
    Can you see past your belief systems?

    UK porn laws will also block "esoteric material" read - everything that is not official!

    Looks like it's the end of free internet in the UK.

    As well as pornography, users may automatically be opted in to blocks on "violent material", "extremist related content", "anorexia and eating disorder websites" and "suicide related websites", "alcohol" and "smoking". But the list doesn't stop there. It even extends to blocking "web forums" and "esoteric material", whatever that is. "Web blocking circumvention tools" is also included, of course.

    The definition of "esoteric" makes clear that censorship of broad topics is the goal of this so-called ISP filter:

    es·o·ter·ic [es-uh-ter-ik] adjective
    1. understood by or meant for only the select few who have special knowledge or interest;
    2. belonging to the select few.
    3. private; secret; confidential.

    Translation: anything outside the acceptable mainstream narrative will be filtered. In short, the free flow of information is under assault with this law.

    For those that don,t do this already, start saving things offline. use scrapbook or pocket for Firefox.
    Energy flows where attention goes...
