Do you think the Super Moon will do anything catastrophic?

No. It's an overblown non-event. If they hadn't mentioned it, you wouldn't have noticed. You probably still won't notice.

Uh. This "super moon" happens every 18 years with no strong correlation or causal link to anything catastrophic. Expect high tide to be about 2" higher, than it was 9 years ago, if that.

I never heard the term Super Moon before yesterday. What will they make up next? A full Moon that is also at perigee will cause slightly higher tides. But only slightly higher, so any effects will be pretty much the same as any other full Moon.

No. It will barely be any closer than it gets every month anyway, there is no good reason to think we will see any major difference.
