Is it wrong to not believe in a God if there is no proof of being able to see him??? I mean, people think that I am so wrong because I do not believe in religion because all that religion is used for is to control and limit us... Trust me, RELIGION RESTRAINS YOU!!! If everything is soo bad, then why can't GOD just come down here and change a few things??? No changes equal NO GOD!!!

You are not at all wrong in your beliefs. #1: Everyone is entitled to his/her own beliefs without fear of scrutinization. #2: Religion IS there to control us and lead us astray. We need to look within to find the truth, not externally. You will never find any answers if you only look on the outside. #3: We are ALL god. It's hard to wrap your head around, but WE are the saviors who control EVERYTHING! #4: An open mind NEVER hurt anyone. Only people hurt each other for such a thing, because they are scared. Fear is what has literally killed this planet.

I'm with ya. i dropped religion as a child. i saw no use for it. i could see then that it had 'scam' written all over it.

I agree with you lady, openminded is the way to be. it's people stuck in their narrowminded beliefs that are the downfall of this planet.

I agree that religion can be a restraint. Some people need it. Some people are afraid to look inside and see what is there and deal with it. I agree with being open minded, but I don't reject religion because of the narrow minded people I've met. I've also met some wonderful people who are religious, but not necessarily spiritual. In my mind, being open minded means I also don't judge others even if they judge me.

None of the founders of religions demanded 'mind control' which is at its peak through Zionist-controlled Zionist media. The Creator sent some guidlines through His prophets to tell humans why they were created. The great majority of the followers of religions don't those guidelines - that's why we have the 1% slaughtering and squeezing blood of the remaining 99% population.

YES - the existence of the Creator cannot be proved in a test tube. However, if one can accept a man his/her father, because the woman who gave him/her birth say so - so why not accept the existence of a 'supernatural Power' if someone who is not Bill Clinton or Elizbeth Taylor, say so??

You have a good point Rehmat. If religious followers actually followed the guidelines provided in their scriptures, there would be considerably less bloodshed. The turn from evangelism to conquering has always confused me. We accept so many things on faith, why not accept the existence of a creator.

Yes, there is a Creator, but that Creator is NOT what most religions have you believe as God. This is where I have the problem.

There are lots of good messages in many religions, yes, I don't disagree with that. The problem is that people don't follow the 'guidelines' like you said. And those that do, are far too harsh, like most Catholics I know. They tend to follow so closely and call themselves 'Good Christians', yet they are the first to cause harm. They are the first to steal. I've come to a theory on that recently, it occurred to me that because these people have at their disposal the 'Sacrament of Confession', they feel all they have to do is ask forgiveness from their 'lord' and it doesn't matter what they did wrong, all is forgiven.

I don't know if you've noticed, but lots of soldiers pray to god every day. Lots of soldiers are religious. Yet, if they followed their religion for what it is supposed to be, they wouldn't fight at all.

I'm not a 'religious' person. I can't follow things that contradict what I know to be good and right. I was raised a Catholic, but as soon as I was old enough to stay home alone, I stopped going to church. I've never been able to understand the "why". If God is around us all the time, why do we need to go to his "house". And, why do we need to dress up to go there if God doesn't care what we wear? He created us naked, right?

I believe there is a higher force that allows for us to exist in this form. Religion is currently serving the purpose of 'divide and conquer'. It is 'organized' religion that is causing most of the fighting in this world. If people could see past their differences in beliefs, they would see that we are all the same. And this is why I say, religion is there to control us and lead us astray.

Sorry, I do get quite passionate about these matters because I don't understand this world. I'm not like most people, I never have been, and I never will be.

The stupidity of this post truly amazes me. Let me start by refuting every one of your ridiculous statements.

In your first statement, you're essentially assuming that there is a God but no proof he can be seen. First, if there is a God there is a God. Just because he does not force you to believe in you doesn't mean that you shouldn't since that would be incredibly dumb. Second, if you look around in nature you can tell by the beauty of the universe that there must have been a Creator. As for your second statement, how is religion only made to control people? People who are say, Christians, live better lives and believe they will go to heaven when they die unlike you, who are obviously atheist and hate God and are clearly scared to die since if there is a God you'll go to hell and if there isn't a God you will become nothing. Your last statement might be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. If you haven't noticed, Christians ARE changed by their religion unlike people like YOU who don't want to even think of a God and therefore won't be changed by him even if he is graciously willing to help you.

Are you advocating Christianity? This post is ALL judgement, you are not refuting anything. Asserting a superior position and judging statements by name-calling and belittling is not even valid argument!?!? I have not seen this kind of mindlessness anywhere else on the site. sorry to see it here :(
