Maui is a travel staple for many stars, perhaps for those who are particularly surfboard-savvy. Pierce Brosnan has tackled the waves of Maui on several occasions. But for the likes of other less-adventurous celebs, we're sure the stunning scenery and luxury resorts are the main draws.

It is the second largest island of Hawaii and 17th largest island of United State the earlier name of Maui was ʻIhikapalaumaewa". The Island of Maui is also called the "Valley Isle" for the large isthmus between its northwestern and southeastern volcanoes and the numerous large valleys carved into both mountains.
