Unknown object is constantly hitting the earth with cosmic radiation
Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Data from different observatories on the Earth's surface and in the area indicate the presence of a nearby object that cosmic radiation in our direction goes forward. Researchers engaged in missions of the Fermi Space Telescope believe that an unknown pulsar located in a relatively short distance from us is the possible cause and electrons and positrons patterns to earth emissions. Another engineer's explanation is that the particles have their origin during the annihilation of dark matter, which occurs when this mysterious matter comes together.

Although not yet say with certainty what the source of the cosmic radiation, we certainly know that it is located near and in any event in our galaxy is. "If these particles are coming from far, a large part of their energy has long disappeared in reaching our planet," said Luca Baldini, who participates in the Fermi analysis of the data collected. Some particles that are observed contain no less than one hundred billion electron volts of energy, something that last year even though it was confirmed by observations carried out by other telescopes. Cosmic rays consist of electrons, positrons and atomic patterns with almost the speed of light through the universe move. Unlike gamma rays, which in a straight line is commitment by the source, cosmic radiation elect its own path through the interstellar space. It is therefore rather 'rejected' if the rays come into contact gastronome or a magnetic field. This ensures that the effort to determine where the particles have their origin took. Nevertheless, the team involved in the mission of the space telescope Fermi determined the source of the newly discovered radiation found.

thanks for posting this ricklbert. this is a very interesting find. i wonder if they will ever find out where all that electricity or radiation is actually coming from ?

that Fermi Space telescope is an Amazing camera. i thought this video was interesting...
