When I was a kid Dad explained UFOs to me and I think that his explanation has held up over time...
He loved the ocean of course and knew that I would understand if he spoke of fish in the ocean seeing the hull of a ship passing overhead. "Sweetie"... I remember him saying...." Fish have no concept of what that strange sight represents. They can know nothing of the crew on board or communications to other places... of barns and cows and cities.... some of those fish will dart away to safety and maybe even a few of them will be bold enough to investigate but ultimately there are some things that fish are just never meant to understand."
So when you say " the issue is more complex than we thought" I just remember those words paraphrased above.
Dad went on to found NICAP......so I figured out for myself that maybe there are some fish amongst us that somehow understand just a little more than the rest of us. Its just that whatever they learn is really hard to explain. <g> Linda
